Chapter 1 The neighbour

 Enkidu apartment number was 106 and the next door 107 if you walk a 4 km distance is 107. They then knocked at the door branding 107 before realising that there was a camera and a doorbell. Pressing the big golden button immediately they then waited for approximately 10 minutes for someone to open the door.

Groaning out came Gilgamesh who was staring at his phone then slowly. He looked up and gasped dropping his phone in surprise, he never expected the same fair vixen from earlier to come to him. "I believe you must be my new neighbour, Greetings and here is a gift that I bought just recently," the said person says in an equanimous reply. Since the blonde was still wordless Enkidu continued "My name is Enkidu and although we did meet earlier at the park, I forgot to tell you my name, sorry."

Finally, Gilgamesh could muster words "So does that mean you accepted my invitation?" inquired Gilgamesh with a smirk as he picked up his phone and stared right back at the fair person. Enkidu replies "If that is what you wish for then I can try to set a time for next week same day, Oh I forgot to ask you what is your name?".

I am Gilgamesh and as he ends, he brings out his contact business card and passes it to Enkidu who gladly receives it with a cute smile. Praise me as much as you want, go ahead and as they looked straight at the card they replied.

Oh, you're the owner of that popular store I see, Sorry I'm not entirely sure what you were asking me to praise you for but good job you must be proud of your accomplishments. That reply made him even more dumbfounded than the rejection from earlier at the park he felt that it mentally shattered a piece of his ego. "Then how about next week? you wouldn't mind if invited a friend over, would you?" he said quickly changing the awkward topic.

"Of course, I wouldn't mind, but if you don't mind may I might as well invite one of my friends over too?" But what the two didn't know was that their friend would be there for moral support would give them quite a surprise...

After an hour Enkidu came back home to find Kingu asleep on the couch with the tv on with a sigh they carried him to his bedroom and tucked him in. Kingu woke from all the slight movements "Mom I miss Grandma Tiamat and also why did you take so long talking with the neighbour?".

"Well remember that nice guy from earlier Kingu, turns out he is our next-door neighbour!"

what? replied Kingu in a confused tone

"Turns out I'll be having dinner with him and his friend next week too isn't that great?"

WHAT?! Kingu replied again in an even more confused and concerned tone

Well, he does seem quite polite but you should go to sleep now Remember you have school alright I'll go get your lunch ready. Reluctantly again he went back to sleep but his mom going out with that guy still stuck to his mind there is no way he going to ask out mom, there's no way.

Outside the room, Enkidu was texting someone by the name of Nefertiti who is a friend who also lives around and was the one who recommended the apartment. Because Enkidu was allowed to bring over a friend she asked Nefertiti to join them They wholeheartedly agreed after some small chatter. They then got ready for bed and went to bed peacefully.

The next day Enkidu dropped Kingu at school safely and went to the photo studio to get ready for work. Their boss tasked them at the request of an owner of a botanical garden and wished to advertise the area more to the public. Of course, they agreed, that it's not often you get to have peace or ambience while doing work.

Meanwhile, somewhere else Kingu wasn't doing well compared to his mother, he always struggled due to his prideful nature but still, even if he tried no one approached him. Lunch break has started for him but instead of joining everyone else on the playground, he decided to walk around. There wasn't much to be found there were some flowers on the ground and nice hiding spots but that's it. Next to the playground was also a tunnel that was quite empty and dark so he went under the tunnel and there it was something fluffy.

Did someone leave a toy in here or something? it seems quite big who would bring a big teddy to school? He thought as he went to feel the fluffy thing again, but after his second time touching the furry thing it grumbled and got up. That wasn't a teddy bear instead it was a big, white dog who was alive and pretty grumbly to be woken.

HELPPPP THERE IS A BIG DOG IN HERE, IM GOING TO BE EATEN!!! Kingu screamed as he ran as fast as he could from the tunnel. The dog stood inside there unmoved but confused and decided it was best to move away and ran as fast as he could. The moment Kingu came back crying with the teacher to show her The wolf the hole was empty. "Miss it was right here! I saw it with my own eyes!" Kingu replied with a sigh and the bell rang to signal lunch had ended and Kingu was sent back to his class with sniffles.
