"Don't make me sad, don't make me cry."
"Sometime love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why."

"Wake up, kid. It's time to go back."

The elder smirked at the still dazed girl, as a whirl of leaves greeted her, courtesy to the Nymphs next door.

A shuffle of blankets sounded soon after, as hair dark like the oldest tree in the forest mountains met the upcoming sunlight.

And the ice in her eyes was thawed soon after, as the day of departure came to be.

| Arthur Leywin, 3 Years Later |

It's been 3 years since me and Alden made the decision to stay at Elenoir and man, it was quite the ride. For starters, the "stone" Sylvia gave to me was actually an egg, her egg to be precise. I named her "Sylvie" after her mom and interestingly, Caecius (the name of Alden's Origin Bond as I've been told) somehow sensed her hatching and visits often as he can.

Me and Tess had also been exchanging letters with Alden with Caecius as a trustworthy messenger, more so when training caught up to all three of us that we couldn't physically visit. I recieved word that 4 months from now, we'll be able to go back home and because of that time limit, Alden didn't send much letters and I didn't respond much as I used to.

Tessia's reaction to our departure was expectedly depressing, but we made a promise to still continue the tradition of sending letters with Caecius's capacity as an Origin, something that cheered her up a bit.

And today was the day we leave.

I was waiting for Alden to come with Elder Rinia since Tessia refused to say goodbye if the three of us weren't together for the last time in a long while, I agreed while feeling the feather Sylvia had given to me, concealing the "mark" of Sylvie from the rest along with Gramps's Will training and such.

"You'll meet your aunt soon."

Sylvie responded with cooes and right on cue, my sister appeared. With her vulgar language unbefitting of her innocent looks, definitely a daddy's girl.

"Oi, jackass!"

I rolled my eyes and responded with a middle finger before she tackled me straight with a hug, so hard that I had to use mana to keep my balance.

"Welcome back, lil sister."

"Alden!"

Tessia joined the hug which made us fall to the ground in laughter and tears, a happy goodbye is better than anything I suppose. Tessia was the one who pulled away first, as well as the one to make us stand. She was obviously not done crying, but her classes as the future Queen was helping her conceal most of it.
