Chapter 15

I had only been passed out for a few seconds before someone shook me awake.

Of course it was Jack, and of course he didn't know how to properly wake someone up who had just fainted.

When I slowly opened my eyes my vision was blurred and the sun seemed to burn my skin.

I hugged myself and could feel the sweat dripping down my arms. It was not a pleasant feeling.

"Toria, are you okay?" Jack was kneeling down next to me with my body clutched tightly to his.

Even if I did have the strength to fight back I don't think I would have.

It just felt so right being in Jack's arms.

After the little event that had taken place in the school parking lot, I was sent to the school nurse to be checked over.

She said I had fainted from stress and that I just needed a good night's sleep.

I exited the nurses office and walked over to my brother... And Jack.

Once Rhys had seen me, he wrapped his arms around my body protectively.

"Are you okay? What did the nurse say? You're feeling a little bit warm, do you need a drink of water?" Rhys bombarded me with questions which I found quite annoying, but I knew that he was just worried about me.

"I'm fine. The nurse just said that I needed a good night's sleep." Rhys nodded and we both turned our attention to Jack when he coughed awkwardly.

I gave Rhys a reassuring nod and he got the message that I needed to talk privately with Jack.

Rhys told me he'd wait for me in the parking lot and shoved into Jack's shoulder as he went past, obviously warning him.

"You have one minute to explain why you attacked Kellan." I sat down in the chair outside of the nurse's office and he sat down in the one next to mine.

"Okay, first of all I just want to let you know that I've been suspended for the rest of the week," Jack began and scratched the back of his neck nervously," But anyway, Victoria you know I don't like Kellan. And Toria... I want to give us another try. I miss you."

I stood up from my chair angrily.

"I have a boyfriend now Jack! You can't just go round saying that because you know I still have feelings for you!" I raised my voice, but kept it quiet enough so that the nurse wouldn't hear.

"Victoria, just give me another f.ucking chance! I sorted out the stuff that broke us up." Jack stood up as well and I felt slightly intimidated as he towered above me.

"Jack, please don't do this." I begged.

I did still like Jack.

What am I saying? I loved Jack, but I wasn't ready to get my heart broken by him again.

He brought his large hand up to my cheek and I instinctively rested my head into his hand.

A genuine smile played at his lips and I felt myself falling deeper for him.

He leaned down and softly pressed his lips against my own.

What felt so wrong, also felt so right.

I brought my hands up around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

Our lips moved in sync and I stood on my tiptoes to deepen the kiss.

That's when I remembered Kellan.

I stepped back and removed my lips from his, rubbing at the now slightly swollen area.

"That never happened." I mumbled before hastily walking out of the school building, leaving Jack stood in the hallway.

I could have sworn I heard him whisper three certain words before I managed to get out of the building.

I pushed the heavy door open and walked quickly past my brother and towards his car.

He kindly opened the door for me and helped me to get in, obviously unaware of the fact that I had enough strength to get myself into a car.

I checked the time quickly and it was nearly 5.00pm.

As we drove down the busy roads I couldn't help but think of Jack.

I felt so, so guilty for just leaving him there but I really could not get hurt again.

A/N:

I know this chapter is really short but I will be double updating tonight!

I feel like Victoria was such a b.itch to Jack in this chapter and for that I am sorry.
