The day dawned hot, so the girls and the young couple went out to enjoy the day, having a picnic in the city park.
“Girls, do you want ice cream or soda?” Nessa asked with a smile. “There’s a stand over there,” she pointed out.
“Yes, I want two chocolate ice creams!” Heidi requested excitedly as she sat on Tina’s lap, her girlfriend.
“I just want a strawberry milkshake, please,” said Marima, and Chompu agreed.
“Noted, and what about you two?” she asked the couple now.
Engfa looked at her friend, then hugged her wife and looked at her completely, and only at her.
“Nu, do you want something?” There she was, looking at her, and Charlotte just shook her head. “Are you sure? What’s wrong?” she asked gently. “Do you want something specific? Order whatever you want,” she asked again as she got up to join Nessa.
“I’m fine like this, it’s nothing,” Charlotte replied, looking away seriously.
Engfa frowned confused but spoke anyway.
“Alright, love, we’ll be right back,” she gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Yeah, yeah,” was Charlotte’s only response as she left.
Engfa watched her for a moment before leaving and, without being able to say anything else, went with Nessa to buy the things.

Minutes later they had already bought everything, but on the way back, they saw a bakery selling delicious churros with dulce de leche, or so the sign said.
Charlotte’s favorite dessert.
“Look how yummy!” she pointed at the place while licking her ice cream. “Why don’t you buy one for Char? Maybe she’ll like it,” the brunette suggested with a smile.
“Yeah... Maybe she’ll like it, let’s go,” she smiled too, and they approached the stand.
They stopped briefly to buy some churros.

When they returned, the brunette was still there, serious.
“Cha, we bought you churros!” declared Nessa, quickly handing her the bag of churros.
Engfa smiled and approached.
“I hope you like them, my love,” she said and kissed her quickly on the lips.
The brunette just watched her.
“Thanks, Nessa, but no, I don’t want these churros,” Charlotte said, returning the bag.
Engfa and the others opened their eyes, surprised by how rude she sounded.
