AVERY SLEPT IN HER BED letting the nightmares consume her sleep. From an outsiders perspective, they would've seen a girl tossing and turning her bed. But Avery saw the nightmares.

She was running, she didn't know where to, but she ran. Until eventually she ran through a familiar forest that led to Sweet Water River.

She breathed heavily as she looked around at her surroundings. That's when she noticed a boat, in the middle of the river.

On the boat, was twins, Jason and Cheryl Blossom with sickening smiles plastered on their pale faces.

"No!" Avery yelled to the twins, but neither of them even flinched. "Get off the boat!" She continued until she was shrieking.

She screamed until the boat tipped over. Silence filled the air and tears fell down her cheeks.

She turned to her side to see Cheryl crying, her mascara ruined and covered in water. She walked over to the girl who was as pale as ghost.

"Jason..." Cheryl whispered as she pointed behind Avery.

Slowly, Avery turned herself to look at what Cheryl was pointing at. She saw Jason Blossom, dead, his body bloated and mouth hanging scarily wide with a gunshot in his forehead.

Avery screamed the loudest she ever had.

Until she woke up, beads of sweat dripping down her face as she instantly sat up.

Suddenly Alice bursts through her door. "It's gonna be a late night for us, okay? Please get up and get ready for school." She demand.

Avery sighs as she holds her hand to her chest to settle her breathing. "Okay, mom." Was the only two words could let out for now.

Alice slammed the door shut, leaving Avery alone with her thoughts.

Avery arrived at school, she walked down the halls anxiously hoping that nothing dramatic would happen today.

Avery cracked her knuckles as she opened her locker.

"Hey." Tommy greeted her. "You seem nervous, you alright?"

"Yeah." Avery said dully. "Everything's, fine."

Tommy gave her a weird look but new better not to continue questioning. "If you say so." He mumbled.

"Did they preform the autopsy on Jason body yet?" Avery blurted out.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Tommy asked.

Avery groaned and threw her head back. "Whatever."

"Why do you wanna know?" He questioned.

"Nothing, I'm just curious." Avery responded. "Doesn't matter."

"Okay. Im gonna head to class. See you later, Ave!" He exclaimed as he head down the hall.

"Whatever." She muttered as she went to find her best friend, Jughead. "Hey." She greeted the boy who was walking towards Archie.

"Hey, Ave." Jughead replied with a smile. "What's up?"

"Nothing much." Avery shrugged as they approached Archie. "Hey, Ginger!"
