WALKING INTO THE BAR, all Ekaterina could see was people dancing and drinking, the thing she had been waiting for all day. Yet, she didn't seem as excited as before, and she was starting to think Conrad could notice that she was down. All she was hoping for was that he wouldn't realize why she was feeling more down.

She wouldn't blame it on him, but it could seem like his fault from Conrad's own perspective. He couldn't have known that one silly question could mean so much to someone. Rina early on into hating her middle name realized none of her friends felt the same way about their middle names. It was a Morozov family middle name trait.

She and Conrad walked over to a table where Nic and Mina were already sitting.

"I'd like a greyhound, please," Ekaterina says to the female waiter standing by their table while she puts her bag down.

"I'll have the same as her," Conrad said quickly after before the waiter could leave.

"Great day. New hearts beating in new chests. Outlook for both patients: highly optimistic. And I hear Devon crushed Independence Day?" Mina vocalized, leaning in towards the end.

"Day's not over yet," Conrad replied making Rina chuckle. Everyone looked at her with a puzzled look on their faces.

"The day is over, man. At least for me. I've been up for over 24 hours, which is one very long shift. I'm drinking then crashing on my couch, as I'm not working tomorrow." She explained, still chuckling  from everyone's faces.

"Hmm. Be right back." Okafor announces, getting up and leaving.

"I'll be back in a second too," Nic states, also leaving the table.

Conrad and EK, short for Ekaterina, looked at each other confused before laughing whatever happened with Nic and Mina off and taking a sip of their drinks, which were brought to their table not long before the two other women announced that they were leaving, probably to go to the bathroom.

The two silently get up to dance, as they always do. They sway their hips to the music and dance around like fools. The bar was always been the only place EK ever felt safe to be herself, most likely because she was too drunk to realize that she wasn't being her normal closed-off self. Her co-workers realized that the first time they were out for drinks together, and have never questioned it since.

After a while Mina and Nic returned to their table while Conrad and Rina were still dancing.

"Hey, I'm going to go talk to Nic, she seems down for some reason," Conrad says separating from her and making his way back toward their table, which makes EK slightly jealous, but she doesn't know why. All she does know is that she refuses that she has any romantic feelings for Conrad, as he's a friend and co-worker, nothing more.

She makes her way over to the table too, only to find Mina gone and Nic and Conrad alone, which makes her even more jealous for some odd reason. She chooses to push down those feelings and keeps walking towards their table.
