Turning around to see who it was, two men in masked suits stood behind me, they looked just like what mom said.
"Are you here to help," I asked, shaking in my shoes.
"Of course little one," he said, "where is your mom?"
She is up there under the bridge. She told me to wait for you inside, but I was too scared by myself"
"George, take her back to command."
"Aye sir," he replied, "alright sweetheart, come with me to safety."
"Echo One, George is coming back with a survivor. We need extraction for him."
Static was all that came through his radio.
"Echo One, come in Echo One."
     "What's wrong Rob," asked George.
"Command isn't answering, must be interference from the radiation"
"Alright, we'll have to bring her with us. I'm gonna need you to take one of these, ok," George said in a soothing voice.
He handed me a little clear pill and some clean water from his canteen. I already felt better but I was still tired from the smoke and dust falling from the sky.
     "John come on down."
"On my way Rob, I mean Captain, sir."
We walked into the city, Rob in front, then George, me and John. It felt like hours walking through the rubble and I was starting to feel sick again
"Here, it's almost time for another dose."
George handed me another one of those pills and some more water.
"So, what's your name," asked John.
"Quiet John, she's just a bagger, no need for names," snapped Rob.
"My name is Beth, what's a bagger?"
     "It's nothing sweety," John said.
