Life was hard. John knew that, especially in the wasteland of Post-Apocalyptic America. If the act of being born didn't kill you Raiders, The Institute, lack of food or clean water probably would. In fact, most things could easily lay claim to your life; an angry father, an aggressive older brother, a jaded ex-girl. It was decidedly no place for an empathetic human. Which made John wonder... why had he been born at all? The second and final (?) piece in the collection

In a world where every soul is born with power etched on their wrist in glowing colors and numbers, one boy awakens with nothing. Black 0. Zero. The ultimate failure... or so everyone believes. Rion was supposed to be the pride of his village. He dreamed of becoming Knight Commander, of crushing the tyrannical Admins, of giving the world a peace not even his genius brother could bring. Instead, the crystal declared him worthless. Laughter followed. Dreams shattered. Even his own family turned away. But that night, under a cold moon, something ancient stirred inside him. A voice only he can hear. A mark no record has ever shown. A hunger that makes the earth itself wither beneath his feet. They called him Zero. They were wrong. He is the Void. And the Void remembers everything. A slow-burn dark fantasy of revenge, forbidden power, and a destiny paid in the ashes of two worlds. When the weakest becomes the end of everything, even the heavens will learn to fear the color black. Because when the Void opens its eye... worlds end. Weak to strong | Overpowered MC (later) | Mystery | Betrayal | Brotherhood | World-devouring System

For decades, the government plotted in secret, but now one of their secrets is back to bite them. Rolf lived waiting for an apocalypse, but when the nuclear bombs fall, even all his preparation isn't enough to save Granddad. To survive, he joins Ivy and a group of talking animals who have come out of hiding now that they no longer fear being killed or hauled back to the lab where they were created. Survival would be easy if looters from the north weren't after Ivy's ranch. Worse, looters might not be the biggest threat to the teens and the animals. Steen, an old enemy of the animals, brings his mercenaries and Marines into the county. The soldiers begin confiscating weapons and food. Rolf, Ivy, and the animals know it's time to fight, or lose every freedom they have.

War. War never changes. Since the dawn of humankind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God, to justice, to simple, psychotic rage. In the year 2077, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation. Even the legendary Neverland was not spared from the nuclear apocalypse, as it was a real location on Earth, just off of what was once Cuba, in what was once known as the "Bermuda Triangle." Now, it's simply "The Neverwastes," a place where the laws of biology seem to break down. It is here you can find the deadly "Unicorn," the name derived from the fact that it has a long, venomous barb protruding from its forehead, like a unicorn horn. But don't mess with this beast, not that you'd want to after seeing it. Imagine an eight-legged horse, four legs on each side, but the front and back two sets are spider legs and the middle two are crab legs. Oh, and it has crab pincers and a scaly back that is also covered in one-foot-long venomous barbs, too. This all-black abomination from Hell blends in perfectly with the dark, And this is among the least deadly things you'll find here. Mutated American Saltwater Crocodiles that make Tic-Toc Croc look like a baby salamander, Twelve-foot-diameter King Diamondback Rattlecobras (Diamondback Rattlesnakes with venom as potent as a King Cobra's, with the hood to match.) who's mouth you could actually walk into, and some have, thinking they were small caves, never to emerge again, and let's not get into the six-tusked carnivorous Killer Elephant, who's main food on its diet is actually humans. Not a safe, or fun for that matter, place to live. And yet, in 2100, three humans and two fairies live here every day, making a life for themselves after their entire world crumbled away, leaving behind a charred husk of what it once was...

This is a book, about young Lela, lost in a world in which she can find NOBODY. Except you, of course. And other- OK WAIT A SEC! How does she find all these people? I thought it was like a nuclear apocalypse! God dammit! Whatever. She find a lot of people I guess. Just like every, 2 chappies? Yeah! Put a name in the comment section after every chappie to see if YOU could end up in the story! Put you're personality in it two if you want. But, a suggestion. Put your REAL first name. And REAL personality. If you don't, well, it's not as fun. My idea for this story if to show off real people. I'll put your username in the end of the chapter you're in and I'll put you in MY profile's info area. BTW, Lela is based on me.

It's been nearly a hundred years since the war. Nuclear blasts took away all of the homes and life on the planet. Well, all except those who escaped. Thousands of people were sent into outer space on the Ark, a space station made of stations from all the continents combined. Now there was a second Ark called Sanction. The Ark was said to last forever, maybe thousands of years before it would be capable of returning to Earth and the same went for Sanction. But apparently the Ark isn't what it seemed to be. Both stations seemed to be having the same problem. They were running low on oxygen. You all probably know the story of how the Ark solved their problem and how that went for the 100 teenage prisoners sent to the ground, but you probably haven't heard what happened to the 100 teenagers sent to the ground from Sanction. ((Kind of a spin off of the CW's 100 (or I guess a fan-fiction). Just my way of writing in the same tense with out stealing ideas or whatever. BTW no characters from the 100 will be included in this unless it is a well known leader or group such as the ice nation or Heda. Maybe even so possible mentions of Wanheda (Clarke) ))

This book will be a collection of short stories I've written, most likely for school assignments. Chapter descriptions: Chapter 1: "Welcome to the Apocalypse" Following Sasha Chernoff, a russian girl who has to confront the horrors of living through a nuclear world war. Chapter 2: "Dark Hearts" Set during the Salem Witch Trials, a time when many women were falsely accused of witchcraft, Luna Rossi endures the harsh backlash from fearful townspeople. Will her lover have the strength to see beyond the fear and listen to his heart? Or will he fold under the pressure of the mob? Chapter 3: "Ones and Zeros" A young teen girl finds herself in a whimsical place of creativity and endless possibility: the internet. Solar doesn't quite know how she got there, but one thing is for certain: it's in danger. A terrifying darkness looms over the space, threatening the good that makes it so unique. Can Solar find a way to stop it? Or will the internet plunge too far into negativity without a chance of recovery?

True story. In October 1962, Russian submarine officer Vasili Arkhipov refused to sign off on his commander's plan to nuke the U.S. fleet surrounding Cuba during the missile crisis. Such an attack would likely have resulted in a worldwide nuclear weapons exchange; Herman Khan's "Thinking About The Unthinkable" played out in real life and in real-time. Historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. , an advisor to President John F. Kennedy, called this the most dangerous moment in human history.
