~Story~

Born in Queens, Elijah was considered a hell's spawn by his illegitimate father, Mark LoMonaco, best known as Bully Ray, who insulted his own son so many times, considering that he was bastardized by his illegitimate father.

Taken in by Devon Hughes, best known as D-Von Dudley in WWE, the two would get along quite well and would always have the type of father and son bond that nobody would ever see before.

Trained by Devon, Eli had adopted the moveset his illegitimate father would have while combining with Devon's showing he's not a hell spawn and just as human as everyone, but his beginnings never defined his own destiny in pro wrestling.

Making his debut in 2015 by traveling to Texas, to learn from Booker T, the two time WWE Hall of Famer and gain some experience, at Reality of Wrestling, where he meets Carla Gonzalez, best known at the time as Rok-C.

The two would become very good friends and they would train together, showing their friendship in any way. During his time in RoW, Carla would learn that Elijah was the illegitimate son of Bully Ray.

Elijah would thought he would be seen as a freak by his best friend, but Carla, being the sweetest girl he's ever met, never saw him differently after it's been revealed by Booker himself.

Carla did talk about it on her mentor's Hall of Fame podcast by saying,

"I never really cared if Eli was Bully's son. He's still the same person I've met when he arrived at Reality of Wrestling: so sweet and so kind towards everyone, even if there were some who refused to work with him. I was taught by my mom to treat others as if I wanted to be treated, and Eli is no different. How he handles himself as a person is beyond inspiring and I can't tell you how much respect I have for him."

When Eli heard Carla's words and her thoughts about him, he broke down into tears, just not expecting her to say such kind words about him.

Eventually, his time in RoW came to an end, but Eli never really left Carla, meaning he and her exchanged numbers and kept in contact.

Around the world, Eli would show off his work and get along with everyone in every company he walks into. Showing his authenticity, Eli would help anyone become their better selves and have fun at the same time.

Because of his clean reputation, Eli had become a two time BJW World Deathmatch Champion in Big Japan Pro Wrestling, a three time GCW World Champion, and during his stint in Impact Wrestling, a couple years before he signed with NXT, a two time World Champion.

Over the course of 7 years, Eli's reputation had won the hearts and minds of fans and his coworkers. The late Jay Briscoe and his brother Mark had this to say about Eli and his kindness towards everyone he works with.

Jay said,

"Eli, man. He's one of those guys that will always walk in with a smile on his face and just greet everyone with a handshake, which is a tradition in the world of wrestling. He's that guy who will do anything for the company and always stay loyal to his peers. When I worked with him in our rivalry in RoH, Eli always was happy to do what he was told and how to look good in the business. I mean, I wish I can work with him again. He's just one of the most nicest and most humble human beings I've ever met."

Mark said,

"He may be new to the business, but he's not new in regards to his legacy. Bully, man, we wanted nothing to do with him after we heard he bastardized his own son, not caring if he was hurt or dead. He did not care! Eli is the opposite of his father. He cares about his peers, and he always makes sure his professionalism always came first and humanity second. If I had the chance to work with him again, I'd jump in in a heartbeat. He's just that good of a person."

One day, while working for Impact Wrestling, everything was starting to go his way, but it was all until his bastard father, Mark LoMonaco, Bully Ray, resigned with the company.

Feeling his own father would belittle him and berate him for being in the business, Eli talked to Scott D'Amore about terminating his own contract, which Scott agreed as Eli relinquished the title and left the company, leaving behind a legacy he could've been proud of if Mark had not come back.

Now, there was speculation about where Eli would sign with next. Many fans chose AEW, many chose New Japan, and many chose WWE.

Eli made his own decision by showing up in NXT, unannounced by helping out his longtime friend Carla by taking out Mandy Rose's fiancé Tito Sabetelli, former NXT wrestler and Carla winning the title.

After the show, Carla and Eli caught up as they celebrated her win, but soon, down the road, she starts to have feelings for Eli and looked to confess. Does he feel the same?
