"Well I think I've seen a lot more things in my life than you have."

"But I still have more time to live."

"Hey, I'm not that old you cheeky little baby."

"Hahaha. You're funny and actually not as bad as I thought you'd be."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that I thought you'd maybe be smugly or vain because you're a star. But now I know that you are kind of...cool." I said and we both laughed. "For an old man."

"Hahaha. Well do you want to know what I first thought when I saw you?"

"Yes please."

"I thought that you were a little nice girl who always behaves good but then I heard that you'd gotten yourself into detention and I have to admit I wanted to find out why, so I volunteered to do the detention shift, but now I know that you're seriously nice. Well at least I hope so. Why did you get detention anyway? "

"Well I was talking to my friend in class."

"About what? The teacher?"

"About... someone."

"Ok I see you don't want to tell me."

"My house is on the next street."

"Ok."

"Thanks for the ride. My dad would totally freak out if he knew that Blake Griffin is outside his house."

"Is he a fan?"

"Ugh not just a fan, he's an addict. He loves the Clippers and especially you."

"That's cool, maybe I can get him tickets."

"That's nice but you've done more than enough for me today. Letting me out of detention early and driving me home. Thanks."

"No Problem. Should I wait until you have crossed the road safely because a lot can happen out here to a little girl like you."

"Haha really funny, Grandpa Griffin." I said as I got out of the car.

As I stood in front of my house I waved at him and he waved back before he drove off.

"Dana who was that?"

"Oh hey mom."

"Was that Alex?"

"No just a.... friend of mine. He had detention too so he drove me home."

"Ok honey, you can change your clothes and then come eat."

"Ok, mom."

I went to my room and changed. I had to lie to my mom because if she knew that I went into the car of a stranger she would kill me even though it was Blake Griffin.

After dinner it was already 7pm. I went to my room and decided to call Anna. I dialed and waited. Someone picked up but it wasn't Anna. It was a male voice. I didn't say anything.

"Hello! Who's that?!?

I still didn't say anything.

"Ugh asshole don't call again!!!"

I knew the voice. It was Alex'. Oh no it can't be Alex, what in the hell is he doing with Anna. I thought I must've heard wrong so I just shrugged it off.

I turned the radio on and listened to music.

..........Drifting away, wave after wave, wave after wave slowly drifting...........

*THE NEXT MORNING*

Oh how I love to sleep in on the weekends. But I have to get up eventually.
As I made my way downstairs I realized that nobody was home. Oh my god my brother comes home today. I totally forgot about that. He's coming back from college.

After I ate breakfast I went outside. I thought why not try some shots.
We still have our basket in front of our garage. So I grabbed a basketball and headed towards it. I threw some really good shots.

"Not bad."

"Huh?, oh my god. Blake! You scared me."

"Sorry not sorry."

"What are you doing here, are you stalking me?"

"Yeah right. You guessed it. I just wanted to give you these."

"What's that?"

"Tickets for the first game next season."

"Oh my god Blake you shouldn't have done that. I told you, you already did so many things."

"Dana, this is nothing. Please take them."

"No."

"Ok you want me to tickle you?"

He came towards me and tickled me.
I shrieked.

"Ok wait, I have an idea. You take these back and give them to my dad on his birthday."

"Why?"

"Because my dad is going to turn 50 in a few weeks. And it would be super cool if you could show up here and give them to him. Of course only if you want to? "

"Yes, of course I would love to make a Clippers fan happy."

"Ok that's a deal then, but how can I return you the favor?"
"Forget it. You don't have to do anything."

"Please?!"

"No."

"Come on."

"Ok I'll think of something."

"Are you alone or..?" He asked.

"Well, my parents went to go pick up my brother."

"Oh, was he on vacation?"

"No he was at a basketball college and he's just staying for four weeks until he's going back. He's going to get drafted with a bit of luck."

"Wow really? And I wondered why you have a basket in your foreyard."

"Does that mean just because I'm a girl I can't have a basket?"

"No, because you're a pretty girl. "

"Haha thanks." I blushed.

"I'm sorry I'd like to talk but I need to go now. I have some stuff to do. But i see you on Monday?"

"Yeah I think so. Bye."

"Bye."
