Ashley's POV
When I got home yesterday, a little still buzzed by the way, I found dad. I wanted to be happy to see him, I wanted to jump but I cried. Let's just say my already bad day got worse

- "d-dad?" I looked at him in shock

He looked away from mom and smiled at me getting up

"I'll leave you" Chanel whispered "it's really nice to see you again uncle Ash" she went to hug him

"Nice to see you too Chanel. Tell your mom congratulations for me I'll pass by before I go back" he hugged her back and patted her hair down

She looked at me from the corner of her eye, gave my shoulder a squeeze then left

"Aren't you going to hug your dad" he put his hands in the pocket of his pants

That's when I started crying. He laughed then walked to me and wrapped his arms around me and I wrapped mine around his torso

He kissed the top of my head then pulled away from me keeping me at arm's length "Ashley are you drunk?" He frowned "And what happened to your cheek" he ran his thumb over the spot and I winced, guess the adrenaline numbed the pain

"We need to talk, freshen up and come back down" he turned without waiting for a response

I spent my precious time in the shower. I had a bad feeling about the talk and I was already tired of the day.

After I freshened up I went down and met both my parents. I sat across them and dad wasted no time

"I hate what you've become" his lips formed a thin line and I mirrored them " getting into fights, disrespecting teachers, drinking, depression. The list goes on, really Ashley?"

My eyes darted to mom. She avoided them and kept them on the floor bottom lip being chewed on. Traitor

"This is so unhealthy, it's exhausting and ridiculous" he sighed

"You don't even know what I'm going through" I looked at him in disbelief

"Do not use that tone on me young lady" he glared at me

I bit my tongue "all this has to stop and I'm not going to tolerate it anymore. Your mom, therapist and I have been talking, and we've decided it's best for you that we move"

My jaw dropped "what do you mean it's best for me? You haven't even asked me how I feel about that" tears started blurring my vision

"Well it's settled we are moving, you're going back with me by the end of the week and your mother will follow right after she requests for a transfer. This Aiden drama has to end now"

I looked at mom for help as tears streamed down my cheeks. She shook her head "I'm sorry sweetie but it's for the best"

"And since you haven't been driving the car I sacrificed to get you, we are selling it and you'll buy yourself a car whenever you're ready" he said without remorse

A sob escaped my lips "you can't do this to me, please dad I promise I'll be better" I knelt pleading

"It's too late for that Ashley" -

"Welcome back" Cole said from besides me snapping me out of my flash back

I didn't respond and kept playing with the ring that hung on the necklace on my neck. My feet were on the chair I always sat on and my hood covered my eyes and nose

He sighed and I assumed he left while I kept replaying my life in my head trying hard not to break, this isn't a life. Maybe my next life I'll be a bird or maybe there's no next life why should it matter.
