Once they left the Cameron's, they decided to finally call it a night and find a safe place for them to sleep. After some deliberation, they settled on heading to the Wreck, knowing that no one would be there this late at night. Especially with a 'fugitive' on the loose.

They eventually got to the restaurant and found places to sleep respectively. As much as Celeste tried, her body wouldn't allow her to fall asleep. It's not as if she didn't know why. The number of unanswered messages and missed calls on her phone have grown exponentially. Her parents were clearly trying to get hold of her but she was scared. What if the police are getting them to contact her enough for her to answer, only to out their location to the whole island.

Her parents wouldn't do that though she thought.

But her father was a police officer after all. What if he was clutching at straws to look for John B, despite them saying that they knew he didn't do it?

Her mind continued to run wild as she laid next to JJ. She needed to hear their voices, even if it could end in the Pogue's downfall. For once, she had to be selfish. Fuck the consequences.

She slipped out from JJ's side and tiptoed out of the door to sit on the steps outside, holding her phone tightly in her hand.

Would they even answer? What if this was all for nothing?

As if the universe wanted to give her a little nudge, a notification pinged from her phone. She rushed to look at it, finding herself smiling at the sight of her mother sending her the millionth message.

'Please sweetheart, we can see you're reading our messages. We are on your side. We love you so much, our little Celestial Being x'

A few tears began pooling in her eyes and some stray tears fell across her cheeks as she read the nickname only her parents gave her. She needed them more than ever. Celeste felt her finger hover over the call button and she had one more second of questioning their intentions before her heart won her over.

Only one ring later and the call was picked up, "Cel? Celeste, are you there, sweetheart?"

The sound of her mother's voice was enough to send the blonde teen's tears into a full-blown waterfall.

"Are you okay?" she heard her father's voice, sending another flurry of tears to run down her now flushed cheeks.

"I-I'm okay" she could only whisper into the receiver, with a big sigh of relief after.

"Where are you? Are the rest of them with you?"

"Are you all okay?" They both started asking questions over each other. She wasn't sure if she could answer their questions, not wanting to put any of her friends in danger, whether they were at the at the Wreck on not. A sob broke from her body, cutting her parent's voices short.

Celeste heard their heavy sighs, "We know that you probably don't want to answer our questions, you don't want to put any of you guys in jeopardy and that's okay. We understand Cel" her mom spoke, "we're doing all we can to get together any evidence of what happened so we can clear John B's name and get you all home safe and sound, okay?"

"John B was almost caught" her dad quickly revealed. His daughter should know the updates of the situation, especially if it could help them. Or even give him just a moment of hearing her voice once more.

Her eyes widened a little and she sat up straighter, "What? Is-is... you said almost?"

"Yeah, almost. We were called to that Kook Kelce's house who found us and said he had John B in his house. We went over but when we got in, he had escaped" he heard his daughter let out a sigh of relief before taking a deep breath himself, "but that's not all. Shoupe tracked him to the bell tower and I was s-so fearful that we would actually catch him"
