Chapter song - dead walker texas ranger by sleeping with sirens

-------------------------------

Seth's POV

I slammed my oak wood door as I stormed into my bedroom. I snarled as the stench of my brothers new girlfriend whipped through my nostrils, filling my senses with filth and dust.

"Gabriel! You get here right now you little bastard!"

Gabriel flashed infront of me with a smug grin on his disgusting face of his.

"You and that whore slept in my bed last night!"

"I have no idea what your talking about." His grin was still plastered on his face.

"I can smell her all over my sheets. Do you think I don't know what you did last night!" My tone was sharp and snappy, like a dog scaring away a burglar.

"Your just jealous brother, that you don't have a woman to have fun with." He smirked.

I growled.

"Oh I almost forgot, you met that mortal girl last night. The one who didn't even fear you after catching you drinking blood."

I growled again this time louder. "Get out now! Go have fun with your precious Amber." I mocked.

"Fine!" He vanished.

I sighed. How dare he bring her up, I've been thinking about her ever since I returned home early this morning. Just as the sun was rising in the horizon. Lucky really I could have burned to the crisp but I kept an eye on her as she walked home. She was so beautiful her heart kept a steady beat and her eyes a striking green, her voice melted like butter and her touch was gentle and soothing. The fact that she didnt even panick at the man I had killed, this out of everything about her shocked me the most. The warmth of her made me feel human again, when her hand touched my face I couldn't believe the sparks that shot through me. She's mortal and I can never see her again else there will be deadly consequences that even I won't be able to escape from. Maybe I could visit her again tonight? And hypnotise her into believing that she never met me. But I don't think I'd be strong enough to. I think I'll just stay home and not hunt tonight just drink from our blood cellar.

After having a shower and dressing in clean clothes I thought I'd be better but, the mortal wouldn't leave my mind her aroma a sweet blend of honey and vanilla combined with a spark of cinnamon. I wanted to see her again so desperately. I shook my head.

How can you think that Seth?

I hurried down the stairs and snatched the remote from Gabriel who was drinking blood from a crystal glass.

He snarled but I ignored him and flicked through the channels, just as I were about to switch it back of a news report caught my attention.

A tall slender woman with dark brown hair and old fashioned glasses perched on her nose spoke.

"Breaking news! Infectious outbreak! I'm here with Dr James whitehead."

A lanky man with short black hair that was greasy and combed back, he had geeky glasses and was sitting the chair to the left. His labcoat filthy of grime and chemical reactions.

"So how did this infection occur?" The reporter asked. Seeming calm and collected, used to be under such pressure.

"For several years now we have been working on an experiment using stem cells. We have been using head trauma patients, reanimating there dead brain cells. In other words bringing them back from the dead. But this has caused the brain to die from the outside in, the outside being the cortex which is the part that makes you human and have self control. Leaving the inside which controls basic body function. This will leave the 'infected' as we are calling them to only do three things. Walk, eat and groan. But it's not human food they are after, there almost like zombies eating flesh of others. Spreading the infection."
