Chapter 17: Discoveries

Scarlett POV:
I am in the middle of an important zoom call with some fellow Avengers. We were just going trough some scenes and discussing our opinions. When all of a sudden I heard something coming from the garden, I turn my head towards the sound to listen what it is. It sounds like someone is playing a guitar, and they are pretty damn good at it.

''Scarlett? You still there?'' I heard Jeremy speak up. I turn my head back to look at the little screen. ''Yeah sorry just one second.'' I said, as I stood up from my chair and walked to the window.

Looking outside I see Ava and Alex sitting against the tree singing a beautiful song and Rose is dancing around the garden.

My face immediately lit up and tears started to form in my eyes. In that moment I completely forgot about the meeting and walked out of my office leaving my friends confused behind. I had told them about Ava and Alex before but they had not met each other yet.

I made my way to the big glass backdoor that lead to the garden, I take my phone out and start to record my precious children. Alex noticed me but continued playing. I stood there with a very big smile being so very proud of them right now, I had no idea that Ava had such a beautiful voice inside her.

When they finished the song I gave them an applause and stopped the recording on my phone. I quickly send the video to the group chat I had with the marvel actors.

''Wow, you guys are so talented with music'' I say, wiping away my tears.

Ava looks up in surprise when she heard my voice, both of their faces lighting up as they realized I had come to join them. Rose, the energetic little sister, ran towards me and jumped in my arms giggling.

''Mom did you see?'' she asked enthusiastically. I hugged Rose tightly ''Yes I did munchkin. You were beautiful'' I then turned to Ava and Alex who were now both blushing from the unexpected attention.

Chris POV:
I was called to set today so I can't see the kids, but I'll come by the house tomorrow. Me and some others are currently sitting in a room together not having to shoot any scenes at the moment. Sebastian was in the middle of telling a story when we all got a notification on our phone.

I noticed it was a message from Scarlett in the group chat, I opened it to see a video. I clicked on it and the video started to play, I turned up my volume and listened.

As the video began playing I saw Ava and Alex sitting beneath the tree in Scarlett's yard. Alex was playing a song on the guitar, Ava was singing beautifully and Rose was dancing around in the grass. My heart skipped a beat as I watched their mesmerizing talent.

A wide grin slowly stretched across my face, and my eyes welled up with tears of joy. I felt a huge amount of pride and happiness as I watched my children, create an amazing performance.

The song finished and I heard Scarlett applauding before the video stopped. ''Were that Ava and Alex'' Anthony asked, I looked up from my phone to see everyone already looking at me.

I nodded not fully trusting my voice enough to speak right now. ''I didn't know they had such incredible talent'' I add.

The room was filled with smiles, and Anthony gave me a nod. ''Man, they're amazing. When are you gonna introduce us to them.'' He laughs ''I can't wait to meet those little miracles.''

I laughed ''I promise you'll see them soon, they just needed some time to settle in.'' Sebastian who was seated next to me gave me a pat on my shoulder, ''Chris, you have some seriously talented kids man''

I nodded giving Sebastian an appreciative smile.

Third person POV:
The atmosphere in the room remained warm as the Marvel actors continued to discuss the video. They were genuinely impressed by Ava and Alex's talent and at the same time thrilled for their friend and colleague, Chris Evans, who couldn't stop smiling.

Sebastian leaned back on the couch, breaking into a wide grin. ''I think we need to get them to sing at the next Avengers party, what do you say?''

Laughter and agreement filled the room. Meanwhile, Chris couldn't help but text Scarlett a heartfelt message in their private chat:

Chris: You won't believe the reaction your video got from the group. They're all in awe of Ava and Alex's talent. Thanks for sharing that beautiful moment with us. <3

Across town, Scarlett's phone buzzed with his message and she couldn't help but smile. She replied:

Scarlett: I knew you'd appreciate it. Can't wait for you to see them tomorrow.

And with that Chris resumed his day shooting some scenes. And Scarlett finished her meeting with Elizabeth Olsen, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey jr. and Jeremy Renner, who weren't needed at set either. They had also seen the video Scarlett had send, and were very happy for Scarlett and Chris.

Meanwhile, Rose played with her dolls the rest of the day. Alex played some video games with his new friend on the computer, and Ava facetimed her best friend talking about their days.
