Unholy Pleasures

Key Zero: Fallen:

They are angels but they are falling apart. Sin and vice of the Wasteland are getting to them. The toxicity is getting worse.

A few angels are drowning in filth. It just builds on to the trauma. Some of them are so far gone that there might not be a way to help them. Others might have to be the ones to try and pull out who they can. Either way, it's all just going to run them down. Is there any way to stop it? I don't know. That is up for debate.

The toxic didn't come in overnight. It took years for it to happen. That's how the Wasteland works. It all starts with little drops. Drops so small that no one notices. That is how it gets you. You can't see it. Those who do will either ignore it or go into a panic. With these drops, tiny cracks will form in the dam. Those cracks will start to spread. They grow and they spread. It just takes the right amount of pressure for these cracks to break.

And then... Boom!

The filth is drowning everything. There is no way to shove it back in. It's just going to keep flooding in. Before you know it, it's all over your head. Some people can swim out of it. Others will just sink and drown. However, the swimming ones aren't so lucky. The waste will keep flooding in. It isn't long before they become overwhelmed. They think they can keep up but it will only be a matter of time. In the end, they will all drown. There is no shore in sight.

The poison keeps spreading. Killing the prey isn't enough. It has to eat the body. Eat the body until the bones are left. No. Not even the bones will be left. The poison will eat up everything—bones and all. It will leave nothing left. But what happens when there is nothing left to consume? It will just move on. It might even start to consume itself. The Wasteland is never satisfied and will look for something more to eat. That's just how it is with its nature. The angels are learning this the hard way.

No.

Some of them knew this all along. Only two of them are really learning about the Wasteland's true nature. Before they know it, they will be in too deep. That's just how the cycle goes. Why haven't they tried to break it? There are several reasons. There have been several attempts. It just goes nowhere. Well, nowhere but down. Some of them are going really fast. Others are falling so slowly. A few don't realize that they are falling.

Allen, Lavi, Ophelia, Tate, Lenalee, Linda, Max, Harry, Tyrone, Marion, Grace, Alma, Kit, Cricket, and even Leda.

Each is drowning in the filth. Not by choice. Some even before they were turned into angels. They only have the way down to go. Some of them are still trying to swim to the surface. However, is it possible to drag others down with them? They might have but they just don't know it. Yes, the Wasteland demanded their blood. It's not going to stop until it gets it. We should know this by now.

How long has this been going on? No one has been keeping track anymore. They all look the same now. Nothing is really going to change after all. If such a thing is to be believed.

That's right.

There is something else coming. Something much bigger. It's going to swallow up everything in its path. The living world. Heaven. The Fallen City. The Tower. All of it is going to drown in filth. But they don't know it. They can't see it. Well... there is one who can see. But she can't really do much in her situation.

Then there is the war going on. Oh, yeah that. There doesn't seem to be an end there, is there? What's the point of that anymore? They just keep fighting. But now, they are worn out. Still, they keep going. What else can they do? There seems to be something hiding in the background in Heaven. Is that why Komui disappeared? Lenalee still doesn't know. How long before that changes? Who's going to be the one to tell her? And what really happened to her brother?

There's so much going on here. It just won't stop building. That's just how the Wasteland is. It won't be long before it gets too heavy and collapses. But first, there's going to be something that everyone needs to see.

It will all begin with pleasures. Some of them small. Others really big. All of it consuming.

Now, I must back away. I fear I have said too much. I don't think I can say anymore. It would be better if you saw it yourself.

So, I will be quiet and back away. Just sit back and listen.

Enjoy the show.
