You were running, you didn't know where, and you didn't care. You needed to get away from that blue monster.

You kept running till your throat burned, and legs were sore, your chest ached, and the adrenalin was slowly fading away. You looked around the room to see where you were. You saw a lot of lockers and at the end of the room it seemed to curve, you walked towards it and saw it looked to be an open shower room, There was a sign that said ‘don’t forget to turn off the water’. You don't think the showers worked due to how broken the room looked, but you weren't about to test that theory  just in case the water did work and made too much noise.

You walked to the end of the room near the shower heads and closed your eyes to catch your breath, your back sliding down against the wall as you sat down, trying to calm your nerves down.

Only after five seconds did you feel a shaking on your chest that made you snap your eyes open and look down and realize it was the girl in your arms shaking. She was crying on your chest, and you couldn’t blame her. Too much happened too soon in so little time. You let her cry, not sure what to do to help, you let her cry, holding her in your arms while you listened out for the monster. It felt like forever but was realistically 5 minutes before the girl stopped crying. She moved her face off your chest and wiped her nose and eyes on her shirt, “s-.. Sorry i uh, i didn’t mean to cry on you” you didn’t know how to answer her so you just patted her head awkwardly “it’s… it’s fine” an awkward silence soon followed before the sound of a loud thumping noise and gargled laughter made you both freeze in fear. The sound was getting louder, signifying it was getting closer. You saw there was an open locker to the left. You didn’t have much time before whatever came into the room would find you both out in the open.

With a burst of energy you held the girl close to you as you made a quick dash for the open locker and closed it behind you, you held a hand over the girl's mouth to make sure she wouldn’t scream as the sound of a loud thumping noise and gargled laughter got closer and was just outside the locker. Through the small opening at the top of the locker and you felt your blood go cold as you saw the familiar blue fur outside through the gap, your grip on the girl tightened and you held your breath to dare not make a noise to signify that you and the girl were inside the locker.

After 5 minutes the blue monster left the locker and slowly made its way out the door, the sound of the squeaky door hinges opening and closing, the sound of the fading gargled laughter and loud thumping noise signify it was truly walking away, and after another 5 minutes you found it in your body to finally move again letting out a gasped breath you were holding in. crawling out of the locker, you felt drained and tired, “what are we gonna do?” the girl asked, you’d need to ask for her name later. You couldn’t keep calling her ‘girl’ you would ask her later, that is if you both survive long enough. With a hesitant gulp, you answered back “I don't know. But we need to find a way out of here and fast.” she nodded in agreement, and you moved her off your chest and onto you back to carry her. You hissed in pain when you stood up. Her body weight and the low energy plus the wounds and possible broken ribs were not good for you. But from taking a few deep, painful breaths and multiple breaks to try and ease your aching ribs, you managed to walk over to the door.

It took a lot of power and a lot of shaking steps to make it to the door and hesitantly opened it. You looked around to try and see if the blue monster was still out there. Thankfully, it wasn't, so with hesitant steps, you both left the room. You walked to the left, and the girl on your back gently tapped your shoulder to get your attention. You looked over your shoulder to see what the girl was pointing at. She was pointing at a sign that said 'Theater'. You got a bad feeling about this as whatever was in their could be bad plus this whole building was bad news, but if there was a theater then maybe there was an exit, or an old delusional man who somehow survived this hell who could help you both and probably find those other two girls and boy that hopefully survived.

No time like the present to walk into your possible death, so as quietly as you could, you walked into the direction of the theater to try and find either help or an exit.
