WAKING UP the next morning wasn't exactly nice. vanessa woke up at around 11am, but luckily, it was a sunday, which meant that there was no rush today.

she wasn't so hungover. whenever vanessa got drunk, she was careful to mainly drink vodka since you don't get that much hungover from that. of course she wasn't feeling great, but probably better than the other people from the party yesterday.

the first thing she did was to go have a shower. a hot shower did her well. she made sure to scrub her entire body with her favorite bodywash that smelled like a mix of sweet vanilla and marshmallows. she washed her long black hair that got curly whenever she washed it and as she got out of the shower and into her pink fluffy victoria secret robe and her white slippers.

as she brushed her teeth and blow dried her curls, she quietly played some music from the record player in her dorm room. sade and aaliyah were playing softly in the background as vanessa got dressed into straight black joggers and a comfortable grey hoodie.

the other girls in her room were still sleeping. vanessa didn't only share her room with izzy, who was wherever, but with two other girls. anastasia avery, who could be nice, but also a bitch, and with astoria greengrass, who was a lot nicer. astoria and pansy were sleeping peacefully in their beds, probably hungover too from the party yesterday.

when vanessa was done with her make up, that looked completely flawless like always since she was a master in her game, she decided to head to the great hall to get breakfast, because she was extremely hungry.

but as she opened the door of her dorm room, she saw something on the floor. a bouquet of white and red roses. it was a very beautiful one, even though roses weren't vanessas favorite ones — her favorite flowers were pink peonies. a bit surprised, she picked up the big bouquet and smelled the delicious scent. she searched for a name and found a small letter attached to the paper.

vanessa,
just wanted to let you know that i am still thinking about you :)

blaise

with a sigh, vanessa closed the letter, and looked up. to be honest, she didn't know what to think of this gesture. yes, it was sweet of blaise, but they broke up three months and haven't spoken for almost the entire time. she couldn't remember everything from yesterday, but she did remember how they danced, how he touched her and how he told her that he misses her.

she didn't know how to answer to that. she didn't know how she felt or if she even wanted to feel anything for him. she was happy being single, so perhaps no answer was an answer.

yes, blaise was a good guy and he probably told her the truth when he said that he misses their relationship, but vanessa didn't know how she felt. she wasn't in love with him, she just flirted with him for fun, because she was bored, and expected the same from him.

no one really knew why the two of them actually broke up. both haven't told anyone, not even their closest friends because everyone in this castle was such a gossip and drama was spreading faster than a fire in the woods.

their relationship was actually always perfect. blaise was kind, smart, funny and, of course, insanely good-looking. he had goals in life and took good care of vanessa. he was almost too perfect. and while he had his whole life planned, vanessa's life was slowly falling apart. her biggest problem has always been her family.
