Jules

I stood there for atleast 5 minutes, thinking about what had just happend. I watched his silhouette turn into a shadow untill I couldn't see him anymoren. But I never wanted to see him again anyways. Did he really not know me? How was that possible? I was so angry at him for beeing angry at me. I had a perfect apology and that was how he reacted? Well, two could play this game.

I walked across the paddock facing the ground towards the parking lot. The way he just said 'okay' and walked away, I couldn't get it out of my head.

"Juliette! Wait!" I heard someone yell. I looked behind me and saw a girl sprinting towards me. As she got closer I recognized her. It was Bianca, she drove for Ferrari. And she was calling my name. Atleast she knew who I was.

"We haven't met properly yet." she said when we stood in front of eachother. Behind me were the gates that would lead us to the parking lot.

"I'm Bianca Bustamante. Nice to meet you." she said while shaking my hand. "I'm Juliette Lavigne, but you can call me Jules." I answered. She smiled. "I will."

We walked towards the gates together, scanned our badges and walked out.

"I just had to meet the new girl before the dinner in two days. There aren't a lot of us here." Bianca said. "We got to stick together, us girls." she finished. 'Right. The dinner to meet the other drivers was already in two days.' I thought to myself. I could feel my stomach turn. I wasn't good at social events at all. I shook the feeling off and turned my head towards Bianca again.

"It's me, you and Sophia now. Right?" I asked. She nodded. "Not a lot, but it's just the beginning." she said. "Speaking of, let's go meet her at her hotel." she followed. "Sure, I would love to meet her."

I walked towards my car and Bianca followed me. "Can I get a lift though? I got here with Sophia, but she left earlier and I told her I would get a cab. But, to be honest; I hate cabs." she confessed. "Ofcourse, jump in." I answered. She smiled while getting in the car. I got behind the weel and dropped my bag on a backseat. I loved driving a normal car, but I hated parking. I wasn't good at that at all.

"What kind of music do you listen to?" Bianca asked me. "Here." I gave her my phone, which was connected to the car, so she could play music. She scrolled through my spotify playlists while humming a song I didn't know.

"That's a lot of Taylor Swift." she said. I laughed. "Well, you could say that I'm a swiftie." I answered. "I can tell. It's like you have every single song of her in this playlist." she joked.

After some scrolling she put on 'Cologne' by Beabadoobee. "This is one of my favorite songs." I said smiling. "I love Bea too." Bianca said. "We're going to be such good friends."

Jules

After I parked terribly at the hotel Sophia was staying at, me and Bianca walked in. There were a few people with cameras outside, but we just waved at them and got away as fast as we could. She guided me through the hallways towards the elevator. On the third floor we got out and walked to room number 312. Bianca knocked on the door four times.

"The door is open!" we heard Sophia yell. "How did she know it was you and not someone else?" I asked curious. Bianca raised her eyebrows while smiling mysterious. "We always knock four times. It's like a secret code." she answered.

"Omg, you found Juliette." Sophia said when we walked in. "Found?" I asked. "I wanted to meet you from the moment I heard about you." she exclaimed excited. "Well, here I am." She led me towards her bed and we all layed down facing the ceiling.

"How did testing go?" I asked. "Great, actually." Bianca said. "It was alright, but I have a lot of things to discuss with Esteban though." Sophia said. It was her first year with Alpine and Esteban was her new teammate.

"Not in a bad way, we just need to get to know eachother better." she quickly followed. "How are things with you and Charles by the way?" she asked Bianca. "We've always been friends, he's an amazing teammate." she answered. "Is Yuki a nice teammate?" she asked me.

"He's really nice and funny. But also professional, which is important too." I answered. I thought about all the fun we had already and the way he was concerned about me this morning. He really was an amazing teammate and friend.

"Have you met any other drivers yet? " Sophia asked. "Not really. I did bump into someone, litterally." I confessed.

While I thought about what had happend Bianca and Sophia sat up immediatly. "Who? What happend?" Bianca asked. I sighed.

"I bumped into Max." I said. "That's it?" they asked. I slowly shook my head. I could see that they tried to hold in a laugh. "I made him spill his food onto himself." I followed. "And...?" Sophia asked. "Fine, I'll tell the whole story." I said. They both looked at me excited.

"I didn't say sorry, because I didn't realize that he spilled. But I was already so stressed about testing that I decided to tell him afterwards. So I walked up to him and you know what he said?" I asked. "What did he say? What did he say?" Bianca asked impaciently.

"He asked me who I was. He didn't know who I was." I said angry. They both gasped. "How is that even possible?" Sophia said. "I don't know. Even after my amazing apology he just said 'okay' and walked away. I'm pretty sure he just hates me now." I finished.

"Max can be a hot head sometimes." Sophia said. "He can be nice if he wants to." she followed. "Well, I guess he doesn't want to be nice to me, just because I bumped into him once." I said. "Don't worry about it. Just become friends with the others and make them drop Max" Bianca suggested. "I don't think that's a good idea." I said laughing.

"Aren't you a friend of Max?" I asked. "Not anymore." she answered. Sophia looked at her confused. "Let's not drop any friends before we atleast try to solve this issue." she said. I could already tell that Sophie was the mother of the group. She was right, why should I be a hot head just because he was? But still, thinking about what had happend made me lose all interest in beeing his friend.

"I don't want to solve this anymore. If he wants to act like this, I will too." I said while Sophia laughed a little.

"Looks like your a hot head too." she said. I shrugged. "Only if he is."
