Captain Rex pov

During our walk, Mixer led us for about five minutes. I instructed the others to stay alert and keep an eye on their sectors, anticipating any surprises that may come our way. I was puzzled when Mixer cautioned us about an unprecedented occurrence in the war. As soldiers, we are all aware of the dangers we face when fighting against the enemy.

Mixer: We are here.

Captain Rex: Be ready, men.

As we approached the end of our walk, every one had drawn their weapons just in case Mixer's report was inaccurate. However, when we finally reached the opening, we were in disbelief and horror. The sight we witnessed was something we had never thought we would see with our own eyes. We couldn't help but lower our weapons and take off our helmets in shock.

Fives: (drops to his knees and shakes his head) This... This can't be real.

Hevy: What... What happened here?

Dogma: Dead bodies and blood. Everywhere.

The entire area was full of dead corpses of what seemed to be soldiers. The soldiers wore this green cape with two wings. Blood all over the ground, organs, and limbs scattered throughout the landscape. There were swords with some cable that was detached and planted on the ground, along with some small rectangular equipment. Most of the corpses were in half.

Mixer was right. A scenery like this never happened during the war.

Mixer: There's more to see than this. Come on.

We continue following Mixer. He led us to a skeleton that belonged to the giants. We made it to the skeleton and started looking around.

Tup: By the force.

I turned to Tup and looked in his direction. My eyes widen as I see the severed head of a young girl with her eyes opened and dead.

Nax then crouches down and looks at the severed head.

Nax: Poor young lady. She looks like a teenager. May she be one with the force.

Captain Rex: Troopers, let's pay our respects. Cover the bodies with their capes. If there are just the limbs, bury them.

Everyone: Yes, sir.

Nax then closed the eyes of the dead teenagers head.

I saw another corpse that was in half, not too far from the skeleton.

His blue eyes almost rolled back and his right arm over his head. He is a teenager as well. I closed his eyes and took off his cape to cover the upper half of his body.

I looked around the area, and the skeleton began to put the pieces together.

Captain Rex (thoughts): These soldiers fought against these giants. I hope these brave soldiers' deaths were quick. They deserved and earned that much.
