POV Katniss

I am sickened. I have never thought that I would have a hard time watching the reaping. I winced at each name called, which makes my body a bit sore.

That one girl was chosen. She is the only one I didn't want to be in the arena. She walked up to the stage with so much strength. The whole crowd was taken aback by her. They had become still and you could only hear a few crying.

Then I saw her sister thrashing against a boy. So heartbreaking. When I have kids—Peeta's idea—I will protect them from everything.

Yes Peeta and I discussed kids. He brought it up this morning. Righ as he mentioned it and turned to look at him. I wasn't sure if he was kidding or not and he laughed at my expression.

I asked him if he was crazy and he told, "Maybe but I am serious. I want a family Katniss. One day, I will want to come home from work or something, and open the door and be greeted by my kids. Then I will walk to you, and give you a kiss. It is my dream."

With a bit of anger I yelled, "More than one kid?" I stomped away. This stuff was too girly for me.

"We will talk more about this later. Finish getting ready, love." He seemed a bit sad about my response. I felt bad about it too. I do want a family with him. I wouldn't mind making the baby, but the hormones that will come inevitably, I would like to avoid. I glanced at him sympathetically .

I am not sure about kids. Now standing with him at the end of this event, I am thankful I finished the games. We can now finally live in freedom. We can live happily together, forever and always. No one can tear us apart. I only have feelings for him. He is my only love. The reaping has made me realize, that we will be safe for the rest of our lives, and that would apply to our kids.

I look over at Peeta standing next to me. I lightly kiss him on the cheek and whisper in his ear, "Yes Peeta. Let's have kids."
