The Playdate

Over the course of the next few months after Lily and Petunia were born, all of Norbert,Daggett and Treeflower's friends had babies of their own. Barry and Glodean had their daughter Shaherah on January 14, 2008, Bing and Wanda had their daughter Monica and their son Chandler on October 15, 2007, and Wolffe and Tracy had their daughter Monica on February 3, 2008. On February 9, 2008, Norbert was walking in the forest as he noticed that Stump and Vanity were sad since they didn't have a child of their own so he made them a stump daughter named Sapling as they couldn't be happier. Everyone in the forest in Norbert, Daggett, and Treeflower's friend group were all happily married and were all parents.
It is now a bright and beautiful sunny morning in the forest. Norbert and Treeflower were downstairs cooking breakfast for themselves while Lily and Petunia were eating some cut up fruits for breakfast.
"Hey girls, are you enjoying your breakfast?" Norbert asks the babies as they giggle and clap as a response to their father while he smiles.
"Awww look at them Norby, they look so adorable in their bibs like that." Treeflower smiles before giggling softly.
"Yeah. You know, since all our friends had babies I think we should invite them here so we can all see their babies." Norbert suggests.
"Yea I think that's a great idea." Treeflower smiles before kissing her husband's cheek. She then finishes up her and Norbert's breakfast
Treeflower then gets up from her chair as she gets ready for her band practice with the Friendly Chartreuse Bubblegum Machine. She puts on her hippie outfit and grabs her guitar as she is ready to head out the door.
"Well I gotta head to my band practice session now. I'll let our friends know to come later on today when I get back home from work" , Treeflower reminding Norbert
"Alright Tree,see you later!" , Norbert said as he kissed Treeflower on the cheek as she heads out the door
"Bye girls,mommy will see you later! Love you!" Treeflower said happily to her daughters as she left
As Treeflower left the scene,Norbert then turns over to his daughters
"Okay girls,it's just now the two of us! So what should we do while we wait for our friends to arrive?"
Norbert then sees something awful,it wasn't their diapers that needed to be changed,its that Lily and Petunia made a big mess while eating their breakfast and had their breakfast all over their faces.
"I think I know what to do first..." , Norbert sighed as he grabbed Lily and Petunia and brought them to the bathroom to be put in the bathtub.
"Okay girls,it's time for your bath"
Norbert then took off their pjs and diapers and put Lily and Petunia in the bathtub as they started to splash around.
"Woah, let's not splash the water everywhere and get everything wet. Daddy's gonna get you those bath toys. Now you two wait here while I get them.

Norbert leaves the bathroom to look for those bath toys that he and Treeflower bought for them. A couple minutes later,he returned with the bath toy.
"I'm back with those toys you're excited about!" , Norbert announced as he placed the bath toys in the bathtub
Lily and Petunia see their bath toys as they start to play with them happily while giggling.
"Do you like the toys that me and Mommy bought for you? I bet you love how they even float in the water.", Norbert says as he puts his hand in the water gently swirling his hand around
Lily and Petunia nodded happily as they continued to play with their bath toys.
"Now, let's get to cleaning you cuties up" Norbert said as he applies some of the gentle soap on the rag and uses some of the bath water to make it bubble up
Lily and Petunia then sees this as they were in awe at what they just saw as they started to pop the bubbles while giggling.
"Awwww,It looks like you're enjoying the bubbles in the makes you both look so adorable..." Norbert sighed contently

Norbert then starts to clean them which Lily and Petunia didn't like at first but then felt okay in the food that was on their fur from earlier washed off. Norbert knew he made the right choice to do it after they ate. A few minutes later Lily and Petunia were all cleaned and ready to get out of the tub.
"Okay my little ones, it's time to get out the tub", Norbert said as he picks them both up from the tub
Lily and Petunia giggled as their father was drying them off. It was easy for Norbert to dry them off as beavers had waterproof fur. Then Norbert laid his daughters on the floor with a towel to put on fresh diapers and new baby clothes to wear as now they are all ready for another brand new day.
"There you go, all cleaned up and ready to go!" , Norbert used his arm to wipe his forehead from all the bath work like usual,
Norbert glances at the clock, knowing that he and Treeflower's friends along with Lily and Petunia's playmates will arrive at any time.
"Only a few more hours until all your new friends will arrive." Norbert smiles.

Lily and Petunia giggle excitedly at the thought of meeting their new friends.

A few hours have passed,just then, the doorbell rings
Norbert was in the middle of a tickling session with his daughters as he stopped as soon as he heard the doorbell rang,"Ah, that must be your playmates. Hang on, Daddy's gotta answer the door"
Norbert goes to the front door and opens it. When he opens the door all of Norbert and Treeflower's friends showed up along with their babies and Treeflower was back with them just in time.
"Hey Norby,I'm back and I brought visitors!" Treeflower announced to her husband.
"That's great, so how was band practice?" , Norbert asked
"Great but busy as always. So how's the girls? Did you have fun with the girls Norby?" Treeflower asked her husband
"I did! I gave them a bath,fed them their baby food,Daggett visited for a couple hours and even got to play with them for a few minutes" , Norbert replied
"Awwww how sweet!"
Then their friends walked over to the both of them revealing their babies.
"Hi, Norb! We're all so happy to be here!" , Bing exclaims cheerfully while walking in to their dam with his wife and children
"Lily, Petunia, your playmates are here!", Norbert then showed them to Shaherah Bear , Monica, Chandler, and Whimsy Wolf, their playmates
Lily and Petunia stared at them for a few seconds then crawled over to them. They all made baby noises and then they all started to play happily giggling about
"Awww look at them Norby! They are all playing together!" , Treeflower said excitedly
"I see, and they're getting along so well! Seems like they're going to be friends even when they get older." Norbert said happily.
"I can already tell that they would be", Treeflower giggles while she,Norbert and their friends see all their kids play with each other happily
"Also, everyone agreed to let their children bring one toy with them", Barry said
"Yeah, because who knows, maybe the others may be interested to see what their favorite toy is!", Bing added
"We also got toys for our daughters too", Treeflower responded as she shows all of them the new toys and they all loved it and began to play happily together
"They are all gonna be the best of friends,like how all of us are close friends with one another" Treeflower exclaimed
"I know, I can't wait to see what their interests will be as they grow up! It would be interesting to see how their interests will interact with each other", Tracy said
"I'm sure they'll be best friends and make all of their interests work together for something big." Glodean added
"In the near future,I was thinking Norbert and I can build a clubhouse for all of them to hang out. We all never had that experience years ago so building one for our kids is a great idea" Treeflower declared excitedly
That sounds like a splendid idea Treeflower, maybe even a treehouse! Though, we should give it time. I mean, what if one of our kids has a fear of heights? Not saying they will, but it's a good idea to consider that possibility." Wanda advised
"Exactly Wanda", she giggled,"What do you think Norb?" ,she asked Norbert
"Well, a treehouse would be a neat idea. But we should give the kids some time before we decide on which we should build. I mean, Wanda's got a point. We don't wanna scare them with a treehouse in case one of them has a fear of heights when they get older" , Norbert responded
"Good idea Norby,I'm sure it'll be a fun experience for all of them", Treeflower said
They all laughed and giggled as they continued to watch them play with each other. A couple hours later as it was close to sunset,all of their friends waved goodbye to Norbert and Treeflower. As they closed the door,Lily and Petunia started to get sleepy as they yawned and rubbed their eyes while slowly playing with their toys.
"We've had a long day,huh girls? You girls ready for bed?", Norbert asked his daughters
Lily and Petunia slowly nodded their heads as they continued to play with their toys.
"Alrighty then", Norbert then picks up Lily and Petunia and bring them to their bedroom
As they got to their bedroom,Norbert puts Lily and Petunia in their cribs as he grabs his prized guitar and starts to sing them their lullaby. As the song was done,Lily and Petunia then fell asleep instantly. Norbert then puts his guitar down as he leans over to their crib.
"Goodnight my little angels..." , Norbert said as he kissed their foreheads softly before walking back downstairs
Norbert took one last glance at their daughters sleeping and sighed contently
"Never grow up my little angels..." Norbert then closes the door gently as he heads back downstairs.
