Daggett's In Love

Nine months has gone by since Lily and Petunia's births, and Norbert and Treeflower have never been prouder to have two blessed baby girls to be parents to. One morning, on April 3, 2008, Treeflower heads off for work as Norbert decides to spend some father-daughter time with his babies by bringing them over to their Uncle Daggett's dam.
Lily and Petunia have lots of fun playing at their uncle's house and spend lots of time with their father and Uncle Daggett. As the girls play with the baby toys their uncle provided for them, Daggett has a talk with Norbert about something on the couch.
"So, Dagg-alagga-ding dong. Whatcha wanna talk about?" Norbert asks his brother in the usual charismatic and sarcastic tone that he often speaks in towards him.
"Well, Norb. I've been thinking about something for a long while now." Daggett responds while twirling his thumbs.
"What is it, bro?"
"You see. Ever since you and Treeflower have gotten married, I've been thinking about the fact that I've never experienced love from a real woman the same way you have." Daggett elaborated.
"What about-"
"ANGEL EYES DOES NOT COUNT." Daggett sternly informs his brother.
"Okay, jeez." Norbert sighs before letting his brother talk again.
"So that's why I've been thinking about getting into the whole dating shtick and seeing what it's like to be with someone. And I was wondering if...maybe you could help me."
"Of course, Daggy Waggy! I'll gladly help you out." Norbert smiles at Daggett.
"You will?"
"Righty-o-righty! You have my promise as a beaver."
"Oh thanks, Norb! You really are the best brother a beaver could ever have!" Daggett cheers.
"Come on, bro. Biiiig hug!"
Norbert then gives Daggett one of his famous big hugs, squeezing the life out of his brother while his daughters watch and giggle while clapping their hands before going back to playing with their toys.
Over the course of the next few days, Norbert tries getting Daggett hooked up with multiple different women for him to date, and even some men as well with all of the attempts failing. These attempts included going out to fancy restaurants with these people, taking them to nice places, doing nice things for all of them, etc. But Daggett being the clumsy and oafish self that he is, ended up messing up all of these dates, practically rendering him unbearable in the eyes of these women and men.

After a few days of trying and failing, Norbert and Daggett take a walk in the woods while Norbert wheels his peacefully sleeping daughters in a baby carriage while he walks. Daggett is feeling quite depressed and lonely from all the screw-ups he's experienced while dating.
"You know bro. I'm starting to feel like I'll never find love." Daggett sighs sadly.
"Hey listen, Dag. Why don't you take your mind off it for now. We're having a walk through the forest on this peaceful day, and this time is about you. So just let loose a little." Norbert reassures his brother before patting his back for a bit, making Daggett feel a little better.
Just then, the two beavers hear music off in the distance, catching their attention.
"What's that noise?" Daggett asks.
"I dunno. Let's check." Norbert replies.
Norbert and Daggett then peek through the bushes to see where the noise is coming from. When they look from behind the bushes, they see that it is a concert of some sort similar to the one where Norbert first met Treeflower.
"Huh, looks like it's a concert." Norbert says before looking over at Daggett, whose eyes are shaped like hearts. He is clearly very interested in someone there but Norbert doesn't know who.
"Uh...Dag? Hello?"
Norbert tries waving his hand in front of his brother's face, but it does nothing.
"Norbert, dear brother of mine. I think I may have found the one for me." Daggett sighs happily.

It turns out, what Daggett was staring at the whole time was actually a female beaver named Linnea Beaver. She is actually the lead performer of the concert, and she appears to be just the right woman for Daggett.
"Ah, so my bro's finally found love, eh?" Norbert asks.
"Yeah..." Daggett smiles.
"Why don't you go talk to her."
"Wha-?! Are you sure?"
"Of course I am.
Daggett then musters up the courage to walk over to Linnea and finally talk to her for the first time. Linnea and her band were already finished performing, which means that she is now on break. A perfect opportunity for Daggett to strike up a conversation with her. Daggett walks up to her, but stops in his tracks from nervousness as he stands in the same pigeon toe position his brother commonly stands in. Linnea looks over and sees the male beaver, and already thinks he's quite the cutie in her eyes.
"Hi!"
Daggett stands frozen as Linnea says her first words to him, all while also taking in all of her beauty and thinking about how lucky he is to be near such a goddess such as this female beaver. He's only known her for three minutes and he already knows that this is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
"H-hi..."
"I'm Linnea. Nice to meet you!"
"Hi..."
Linnea giggles.
"And what's your name, cutie?"
Daggett blushes really hard at this.
"Um...Daggett. Nice to meet you too."
"Wow you have a really nice sounding name, Daggett."
"I do?"
"Yes you do. I think Daggett is a good name."
Just then, Norbert goes over to Daggett and Linnea while also wheeling Lily and Petunia in their carriage over to them as well.
"Hi there, my name is Norbert! I'm his brother."
"Hi, Norbert! I'm Linnea, nice to meet you and your brother!"
Just then, Linnea notices Lily and Petunia sleeping in their carriage and instantly thinks they look so adorable.
"Awww, and who are these little lovelies?"
"Oh they're just my daughters Lily and Petunia."
"Awwww,they look so cute!"
"Yeah,I know." Norbert smiled
"Hey Daggett, would you maybe want to go out with me some time? I've got nothing to do tomorrow so we can always see each other then."
"Uh y-yeah! That sounds great!" Daggett exclaims cheerfully.
"Great! See you tomorrow, Daggy!"
"See you tomorrow, Linnea!"
Norbert and Daggett then go back to where they came from, with Daggett stressing a bit about what to do since he doesn't want to mess this date up like he did the last ones.
"Um, Norbert. I'm kinda nervous. I wanna make sure this date with Linnea is better than the other dates I had. You gotta help me!"

"Don't worry, Daggolini, I'll help you out. You can count on moi!"
"You will? How?"
"Easy! I've got just the thing to help you out."
Norbert then pulls out two walkie talkies from his pockets and hands one to Dag.
"We'll just use these walkie talkies so I can tell you exactly what to do while you're with Linnea."
"You sure this will work?''
"Of course I'm sure!"
"Alright. I believe you. Thanks, Norbert."
"You're welcome, Dag."
The next day, Daggett ends up going out with Linnea to a really nice restaurant for their date. Norbert stands outside of the restaurant looking through the window to check up on how Daggett and Linnea are doing.
"Norb to Dag. Can you hear me? Over." Norbert says through his walkie talkie.
"Dag to Norb. I can hear you. Over." Daggett responds through his walkie talkie.
"Good. Now the first thing you do is ask her about her life. That'll strike a conversation."
"Okay." Daggett responds before he puts the walkie talkie in his pocket and starts talking to Linnea.
"So, what do you do for a living?" Daggett asks her.
"Oh well I'm a stage performer and I like to sing a lot. I've been a big fan of music ever since I was little and I've always wanted to be in a band and now I've finally lived my dream." Linnea says as she looks at Daggett smiling, her green eyes catching his attention.
"You know, you have really beautiful eyes."
"R-really? You think I do?" Linnea asks while blushing.
"I know so." Daggett smiles.
"Why thank you, Daggy! I love your tuxedo. You look so handsome in it."
"Oh wh-why thank you, Linnea!" Daggett blushes.
Over the course of the rest of the night, Daggett and Linnea spend the rest of the time chatting and talking about their lives while they had their delicious dinner. Daggett told her crazy stories about his life such as the time he and his brother had to fight a river known as The Little Meanie, the time he was a forest ranger, and all of his Muscular Beaver stories as Linnea becomes fascinated with each story.
A few hours later, Linnea drops Daggett back off at his dam to say goodbye to him after the wonderful night they both had.

"Oh Dag, that was one of the best nights of my life!"

"I couldn't agree more, Linnea. You really are the best woman I've ever met."
"Awww Daggy! You are the best man I've ever met."
Just then, Linnea gives Daggett his first ever kiss on the cheek from a woman, making Daggett extremely happy and frozen in place as he blushes incredibly hard.
"I'll be sure to come visit you tomorrow. Goodnight, Daggy!" Linnea says before she gets back in her car.
"Goodnight, Linnea..." Daggett responds in a lovestruck tone.
Linnea drives back home in her car as Daggett watches, very happy to have finally found the love of his life and finally knowing the emotions that Norbert has had in his relationship with Treeflower throughout the last eleven and a half years. Norbert walks over to him with his hands on his hips, smiling.
"Hey, Dag. I'm really proud of you for finding a girlfriend."
"Yeah me too. Now I understand what it's like to be in a relationship like you are. And maybe someday I can get married and have kids with her just like you and Treeflower."
"Whoa there, let's not get too ahead of ourselves now." Norbert chuckles.
"Eh you're right. Well it's getting late so I should probably head to bed now. Goodnight Norb, see you tomorrow!"
"Goodnight Dag, see you tomorrow!"
Norbert then starts walking back to him and Treeflower's dam while Daggett goes back inside his dam, as the Beaver family now has one more member with a love life.
