*-Hi! This is one of my first stories so if you notice anything wrong just point it out! The main character is Alice, she is a brunette with brown eyes, the rest is up to your imagination! And I do ride irl so if any of these terms don't make sense don't be afraid to ask! And I come out with a new chapter each weekend! Ok, that's all byeee.-*
I got out of the limo and looked around. It was a beautiful stone building with neatly trimmed hedges surrounding the property and perfectly planted flowers. The driver set down my suitcases and I grabbed my backpack. I pulled out a twenty-dollar bill and tipped him. After all, it was a four-hour drive from New York to Massachusetts. "Thank you!" I said as I waved goodbye. "Enjoy your school year!" he called back, closing the door and driving back down the long driveway. Oh. Now what do I do? I pulled out my phone and checked the time. 12:36. Ok. Then a lady came out of the great oak doors.
"Hi! You must be Alice!" she called walking down the stairs. "Yeah, hello!" I replied putting my phone back into my jean pocket. She pulled out a walkie-talkie. "John come take this student's bags to room 218, girls building." She put it back onto her leather belt. "Alright follow me dear. I will give you a quick tour and go over the rules," she said, handing me a schedule. "So, over here is the main building where a majority of the classes, cafeteria, library, and gymnasium are. The nurse's office is over there," she told me as she pointed to a smaller building next to the main building. We then walked down a stone path towards the back of the property. "And here we are at the barn."
The barn was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. There were three outdoor arenas, one indoor, acres and acres of fields, and probably two hundred stalls. There were six wash stalls, and the stalls were split up into four different barns, all having a door leading to the indoor arena. "Where is my horse?" I asked, looking around.
"What is its name?" she said taking out her phone.
"Cassia, well her show name is Champagne Taste."
"Ok let me see... Alright, she is in barn 2, isle 1, stall 7." She said putting her phone away and walking towards barn two. Geez that's a lot of numbers, I thought, writing it down on my phone.
We finally reached Cassia's stall and there was a gold plate on her door that said; Champagne Taste, owned by Alice Woods. I looked in the stall and saw a grey mare, about 17 hands tall. She stopped eating her hay and stuck her head over the door, gently blowing out of her nostrils. "Hey, girl!" I said, stroking her soft pink nose. She realized I didn't have any treats and went back to eating hay.
"There is also a cross-country course and a few miles of trails around the property and a field that you can ride in. Feel free to use any, but you need a trainer present for the cross country. Oh! and let me go over some of the rules.
1. In your dorm by 10 pm
2. No riding at night
3. No boys in your dormitory
4. Always be in uniform for classes and lessons, you can wear whatever you want hacking, and in your dorm
5. No jumping without a trainer present
6. Be respectful, and kind, and always be on time for your classes," she said exhaling.
"And all of your tack is in the tack room your tack locker is number 7, have that put away before Monday, please. And your dorm room is dorm number 218, your roommate is Brooklyn Williams. Well, that is all, here is a map; she handed me a map that had the campus on it, I have to go meet some more students. You know where to find me!" She called as she hurried out of the barn.
