JJ'S POV

I really didn't want to leave her. But this wasn't my house, my side of the island, my place.

Not saying I've exactly found whatever 'my place' is supposed to be, but it definitely wasn't here. As I turned the corner, about to head downstairs I heard her voice.

"JJ."

I walked back into her room.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you."

I nodded and left.

KIARAS POV

He left again.

"Kiara."

I felt someone shaking me as I opened my eyes.

It wasn't the person I was hoping.

I was hoping it was JJ and that he didn't actually leave my house, and that he just went downstairs to get water, or something.

But it wasn't.

It was Sarah.

"Hey. You good after what happened last night? I mean I don't know if you even remember since you were pretty wasted but-"

I zoned out.

But yeah, I do remember what happened last night.

I remember everything when I drink.

"Are you even listening?"

I snapped back to reality.

"Mhm. Yeah."

"What did I say just now?" She crossed her arms like she already knew I wasn't paying attention.

"You want to go to the Era's Tour?" I smiled.

She smiled uncrossing her arms. "Well of course I do, but that's not what I was saying." She sat on my bed.

"What's with you and JJ Maybank?"

"What do you mean?" I half laughed.

"You know what I mean. I saw you trying to get his attention last night." She booped my nose. "And you definitely didn't fail."

I rolled my eyes, getting up to go shower.

"I'll be here waiting for a response!" She yelled to me.

After I got out of the shower I changed in the bathroom. I put on a pair of washed out denim shorts, a yellow tube top, and a light pink bikini on underneath.

When I walked back into my room Sarah was on her phone laying on my bed.

"What's the plan for today?" I asked, tying the strings of my bikini top.

"Maybe heading to The Wreck for lunch and then shopping for a bit?"

"Sounds good."

We hopped in her Jeep and headed to The Wreck. When we got there there were a lot of Kooks and Pogues. Some mixed together, others keeping their distance.

Of course he was here.

JJ was sitting at one of the booths with his two best friends, John B Routledge and Pope Heyward.

John B and Sarah had a thing Freshman year, but then Sarah started dating Topper and the whole thing got messy. But, once Sarah finally realized how horrible Topper was, her crush on John B came back.
