They've migrated to the living room after dealing with the animals. Which was an interesting task... for James, at least, given he is not a country boy at all. Jeremy on the other hand, has taken to the task at hand very quickly. It seems that farming life has really done some good on Jeremy Clarkson.
Never in a million years did Richard think that Jeremy fucking Clarkson, the man who's constantly claiming to be allergic to manual labour, has taken up farming, and is actually rather good at it.
Then again... his farm hand, Kaleb Cooper, very likely does most of the heavy lifting, while Jeremy sits in his ridiculously large Lamborghini tractor, or deals with paperwork and media bollocks... and dealing with the fact that the council in his area will hardly let him do a fucking thing.
Now however, the three of them are seated on the sofa, while watching a movie together. James having ordered a takeaway for them, as they just spend time together.
Richard's still not called Mindy back yet, but he intends on doing so soon. Partly because he's just far too comfortable where he is on the sofa leaning against Jeremy's side under the blankets. Blea fast asleep next to him, with her head resting on his lap, with James next to Blea, with one of the cats, Ketchup, stretched out across his legs. And partly because he just... isn't sure what he'll even say to her once he calls her.
So all of this is giving him the perfect excuse to put off calling her back. Because he's just far too comfy with James, Jeremy, and Blea right now.
And weirdly this just feels... right. Spending time with James and Jeremy like this. He feels happy. Very happy.
Unfortunately, he just knows that this happiness isn't going to last. At least not as long as he wants it to....
But for the time being, he's going to just enjoy all of this for as long as he can. Until James and Jeremy both have to return back to Hammersmith and Oxfordshire. Then the next time they meet up likely won't be until they need to head off to the Grand Tour office again to deal with business again.
And maybe this time when they go off to deal with Grand Tour business, he'll possibly be a lot more willing to participate now that he's informed James and Jeremy of the divorce. But then he's also got to tell Andy about it at some point. Maybe next time he sees him.
For now, though, he's just happy to stay right where he is with James and Jeremy. He doesn't even want to move from his spot between the two of them. He's perfectly content right where he is for the time being.
He'll call Mindy in the morning, he thinks. Although, he's not so sure what she could possibly be wanting to talk to him about right now. The divorce has been finalised, and there isn't much else for them to discuss. Not that Richard can think about, anyway, aside from when she'll come and collect the rest of her stuff.
However, if he's being honest, Richard thinks it might be a better idea to give the house to Mindy, and he just goes off to his London flat. Considering the fact that Mindy and the girls are generally the ones to care for all the animals (he genuinely only really deals with the dogs), it just doesn't make much sense for him to stay here, really, as much as he absolutely loves his Bolitree estate. Be better if Mindy takes it, and he leaves. Which, he's not sure why that didn't happen in the first place....
And there's still a lot of Mindy's stuff still here, anyway. Things that she couldn't take with her. Along with all the girl's stuff, aside from a few bags of clothes and other belongings that they had packed and taken with them while staying with their mother.
Either way, he'll figure it out once he gets around to calling Mindy. He doesn't want to focus on any of that right now. Maybe he'll wait until morning before he even begins to focus on any of that, because he doesn't want it to ruin this wonderful feeling he's been having with James and Jeremy.
