At Moon Restaurant:Aradhna ensured that everything was in place for the diners who would be arriving to honour their reservations any time soon. She went to applaud Roohi for being so good at her very first attempt. She has seen a lot of them crumble under pressure but Roohi held it together pretty good. She saw the family with Roohi and her heart filled up. She could see the love and recollected all the happy moments she shared with her family.
The pursuit to success didn't give her much time to spend with her loved ones. She was busy proving them wrong and they were too protective of her to let her do as she pleases. The clashes were so uncalled for. All of them took everything by face value and didn't look for the concern behind it. As time passed, they made their way back and now they were again falling into a healthy pattern of balancing personal and professional life.
She saw Roohi and how her family was fussing over her and the pride in their eyes, she hoped and prayed that, whatever happened with her, should never happen to this little rockstar. She made her presence felt and everyone made way for Roohi.
"Thanks a lot ma'am for the opportunity. The introduction was very generous given the fact that we didn't get to interact much. Really grateful." Roohi spoke rather professionally.
Aradhna was impressed again. She has the attitude to be a true Rockstar. She was sure.
"Well! Thank you Rockstar for such a beautiful performance. You didn't let me down. That is exactly why I plan to hire you as our performer for every Friday night that follows. Exceptions can be made because you are still studying. Initially, you got the opportunity because of a special recommendation but you earned your place. Congratulations!" She said forwarding her hand and Roohi shook it graciously.
"Thanks a lot for the offer ma'am. I would love to but I am genuinely very new to this. Before I can commit to something, can you allow me some time?" She asked politely.
Aradhna was shocked. She thought that the kid would jump on an opportunity like that.
"Of course! Also, you are too young to give a commitment. I will have to talk to your parents for that anyways. I just wanted to know if you were ok with the arrangement." Aradhna responded quite professionally. Never the one to back off.
"Well ma'am! Then we mean the same. Allow me some time to discuss with my family and we will reach out to you at the earliest best" Roohi said with a smile.
Abhimanyu was taken aback by the professionalism Roohi was exhibiting. He never got to see that side of Roohi before, but he was happy to see her so serious about the things that mean so much to her. He mentally decided to stop pressuring Roohi to have a backup plan.
Education would be must but that will just be for helping her evolve into a better and confident personality. He could clearly see her going places with the talent and her attitude. She just needed good guidance and lots of dedication. Rest will fall in place eventually by the time she passes out of college.
Neil didn't like what he saw. He has seen this side of Roohi too many times. That only came out when she was with him or may be with Abhir at times. Aradhna was just being sweet to Roohi while Roohi was dishing her attitude. He was definitely missing something. He will talk to Roohi about that but first he needs to end this conversation before his mood gets spoiled.
"That's lovely of you Aradhna. I will get back to you soon with mostly a positive response to your offer. Then we shall negotiate. I drive a hard bargain." He interjected and spoke in a playful tone. Everyone relaxed at once. The professional conversation had their attention all along and now the mood lightened up.
