Abhimanyu had to rush to attend an emergency case. As soon as he reached the hospital, he changed into his scrubs and entered the Operation Theatre. It was a very complex surgery. The patient was a big shot and he was suffering from a heart tumor. An open heart surgery was to be carried out as soon as possible. But the patient had insisted on waiting for his Oncologist to reach India to go through the surgery.

Dr.Dheeren Saxena
Dheeren Saxena, a well-known Oncologist who resides in London was his sister's son and he flew down all the way to be there for his uncle. Abhimanyu recognized him as someone he met during a Delhi Conference where Specialists who boast of an Indian origin from all over the world attended 2 years back. They had a casual introduction and he remembered Dheeren mentioning that he had a close connect to Udaipur. His uncle must have been that for him because he literally came down to India at such a short notice.
They proceeded to perform the surgery and after excruciating couple of hours, they were able to remove a significant part of tumor. Dheeren vouched that the minor parts that couldn't be extracted were curable through medication and advanced chemotherapy. All in all, it was a successful outing for the team and they had to thank Dheeren for his expert guidance which helped their confidence and the outcome a lot.
As soon as the anesthesia wears off, the patient will be shifted from the ICU and post-surgical care will commence. Abhimanyu took a shower and freshened up quickly as Dheeren was taking care of addressing and briefing the family. He was their family, so they would take it better from him. He went to his cabin when the ward boy informed him that Dheeren was about to leave. Abhimanyu wanted to thank him, so he went looking for him.
"Dr.Saxena! I just wanted to thank you for being such a support during the surgery. It wouldn't have been possible without you" Abhimanyu said gratefully.
"Dr.Birla! Dheeren is fine and I am so glad to meet you after so long. It has been such a chance meeting then and again now." Dheeren said with a smile.
"Dheeren! Akhir aapka Udaipur se kya khaas rishta hain woh pata chal hi gaya." Abhimanyu said.
"Actually meri wife Udaipur se hain per ab unki family yahan nahi rehti. Toh ana jana nahi hota itna ab. Mere uncle toh 3 saal pehle hi shift hue idhar unke business ke chalte" Dheeren elaborated.
"I hope aap yahan ho kuch dinon keliye. If you don't mind, there are a couple of cases which would benefit from your experience. I don't mean to be greedy and hamper your plans. It's just that, the doctor in me wanted to at least try." Abhimanyu said plainly.
