[Chapter 5 - The Human Village]

Location - Gensokyo, Human Village

*Hirozashi POV*

After deleting some Skull Youkai from existence and Marisa getting some powerful magical Ruby or whatever, she decided to show me to the only place where normal humans live, the Human Village, which is not a very creative name, but whatever, it's definitely better than the Youkai forest since the air doesn't spell like blood and death. The stares from the people are kind of annoying, but eh, I don't really care that much.

Nor do I blame them; if I saw some tall, handsome guy with ears on his head dressed in the best clothing ever, I'd be staring at him too... That sounded kinda gay, but that guy is me, so is it really?

"So Marisa, where exactly are we going?" I asked, glancing over at the blonde witch girl. "Not that I'm not enjoying the whole scenery and all, but there's gotta be some direction we're going in right?" 

"Well, I didn't just bring you here to just show you around it was also to get candies, and maybe some yakitori." She replies with a grin, then turning towards me giving me a coy look. "After all you gotta be hungry right-ze, I mean when was the last time you even ate?"

Now that she mentions that, I don't think I've ever been hungry after getting my new body or thirsty either, yet despite that I feel at a hundred percent? It's weird, my stomach that I still have for some reason doesn't feel empty nor full, it feels... just right? Now that sounds stupid but that's just how feels to me.

Anyways probably should respond. "Yeah, sure. Why not? No candy, though." I respond by waving my hand.

Marisa looks at more for a moment before shrugging. "More for me then-ze." She grins, twirling her broom.

I shake my head at the girl, continuing to walk alongside her. We enter a shop that I assume is the candy store; it looks similar to that shop I used to go to for sweets as a kid. Old as hell, basically.

"Good morning-oh, hello, Marisa." An elderly woman greets the blonde girl

"Morning, grandma." She greets back with a bright grin.

The woman smiles, then looks over at me fixing her glasses. "And who might you be?"

I look at her for a moment, unlike the people from outside she doesn't seem bothered by me being a Youkai... guess I'll introduce myself. "Hirozashi. Hirozashi Sukuni, good morning and nice to meet you ma'am." I say bowing respectively, Marisa snickers at me, and I glare over at her, making her look away, whistling as if she did nothing..

The woman smiles warmly. "Oh my~ what a respectful young man you are, maybe you can learn something from him Marisa." The woman teases, glancing at the blonde girl.

"Pfft, as if... anyways, grandma I'm just here to pick up some candies, then take this jerk over here to get some Yakitori." Marisa replies, pointing her thumb over at me before walking around the store to gather candies.

"Sorry about Marisa, dear she can be a bit-" Hirozashi then interrupts her by raising a hand.

"It's fine... she's showing me around so I'm not really too bothered by it. Besides her snark is kinda fun to deal with." He says smiling, glancing over at the girl.

"Oh? Marisa is showing you around. That's awfully generous of her." The woman says surprised.

"Yeah, it is but I'm pretty sure she's doing it for her own benefit... maybe." I shrug, the woman laughs.

"For as long as I've known Marisa, she has never done something without wanting something in return." The woman says it almost as if in a warning sort of tone.

"I know you guys are talking about me, cause I just sneezed." Marisa returns with a bag full of what I presume are her goodies.

"Anyways, grandma, how much will these be?" She asks, placing the bag onto the counter.

The older woman begins taking out what's in her bag looking at it then naming out the prices and adding them all up, whilst I decided to take a look around the shop. Looking around at all the sweets, some I'm pretty sure are from China... pretty sure.

"Woman's got bootleg candies." He jokes.

"Yo Hiro! Let's go!" I turn over to Marisa waving at me.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming." I say appearing next to her in a flash, the old cashier looks at me with wide eyes making me laugh a bit.

"What in the world!? You can... teleport?" The old woman asks in disbelief at what she just saw.

"I could, but that was just my pure speed." I say truthfully, folding my arms with a little smirk, until Marisa slapped me on the back.

"Okay, show off. Let's go before you give the woman a heart attack." She quips, then turning his attention to the older woman. "Thanks for the candies, grandma have a nice day-ze" She says before walking.

"Have a good day, ma'am see you around." I wave, walking out of the shop behind Marisa.
