Location - Hakurei Shrine

A black-haired girl wearing a red and white shrine maiden dress can be seen sitting down on her shrine's porch, looking out a Gensokyo with a cup of green tea in hand, occasionally taking a few sips and letting out a satisfied sigh, enjoying the peaceful quiet that surrounds her shrine—for now at least.

"Aaah~, nothing like some good tea during spring." She said in a content tone, taking another sip of tea.

"No Gap Hag, no incidents, no problems... wish I had donations though." She muttered dejectedly at the end, taking another sip of green tea.

While Reimu was taking a nice sip of tea, she then remembered the outsider who had recently made his way into Gensokyo somehow and is also a Youkai to Reimu. That's just double trouble, but he seems way different than the Youkai she usually deals with.

"Hirozashi... what a weird name; what's even weirder is how Yukari didn't even know about him." She said adopting a thinking pose, remembering the boy's story of how he somehow ended up in Gensokyo.

"He said an alien named Frieza... weird name, and I'm pretty sure he made that up." She thought to herself as a small smirk of amusement formed on her face before chuckling.

"Yeah he definitely did." She laughed, getting to her feet and grabbing her empty cup before walking inside the shrine and past her empty donation box with a mild frown after eyeing it.

"I wonder..." She walked over to the donation box checking for anything, only to find....

"Nothing... again... UUUUUGH! I hate this fucking job!" She yelled, crushing the cup in her hand to pieces.

She looks down at the broken cup in her palm and let's out a sad and annoyed sigh adopting sour mood. "I really hope I get a donation today."

Reimu muttered, running her fingers through her hair as she walked into the shrine, then towards the kitchen, washing her cup before walking out of the kitchen, shaking water off of her hands, then kneeling down next to the table in the middle of the living room of the shrine, resting her head on it.

"Seriously, I save everyone in the human village almost daily at this point... yet I get nothing for it."

She clenched her teeth at the thought, balling her fist on the table for a moment before relaxing her hand and raising her head up with a sigh. Her red eyes gaze over at a picture frame. In the frame, there is a younger-looking Reimu with a bright smile on her face being held by an older, almost identical-looking woman wearing a black and red Hakurei Shrine maiden outfit, along with a kitsune mask on the side of her face with scars around her body and a smile on her face. She looks down at her daughter with a loving motherly gaze.

Reimu got up walking over towards the picture frame, picking it up and looking at it for a moment as she thinks back to the time her mother was still around, back when she was a naive carefree girl with no responsibility.

FLASHBACK

"Reimu." A feminine warrior-like voice calls out to a smaller girl dressed in a miniature shrine maiden outfit, currently chasing insects with her little purification rod and a bright smile on her face.

As she hears her mothers voice she ceases her pursuit on the butterfly, turning towards her mother with a smile still beaming on her face. "Yeah, mom?" The girl responded curiously as to why her mother suddenly called her.

"Come here for a second." She said this, gesturing with her hand. Reimu smiles even more as she rushes over, laughing, before stopping just short of a foot from her mother.

"What is it, mom?" Reimu asked, looking up at the fairly tall woman who has a somewhat sad expression a stark contrast from her usual stoic look.

Before she responded to her daughter, she glanced back at Yukari, who had a sympathetic look on her face. She nodded at her before vanishing into her gap. She looked down for a second before closing her eyes and sighing, reopening them to look down at a confused Reimu.
