the rest of the drive was peaceful. the two forgot about wonbin and continued talking as if nothing.

when they finally arrived, they noticed a familiar car parked already. the brunette noticed how tense mark got and started looking around.

"they got here before us." donghyuck informed which mark only hummed to.

weird.

why did it look like mark was scanning the area as if he was a body guard or something?

donghyuck shrugged the idea off and entered the house, leaving mark behind to get all the bags. that's what a boyfriend is for, right?

just kidding.

he got too excited thinking about seeing his friend's reactions that he ended up running off, forgetting mark.

mark didn't mind getting his bags. in fact, he was happy to see the sight of donghyuck running and smiling happily. it gave him energy.

"are you coming?" mark lifted his head from his phone and noticed donghyuck peaking his head out of the door.

"yeah give me a minute to grab all of my stuff." donghyuck nodded and left the door open, somewhat helping mark.

on his phone, mark called some of his guy friends, informing them about something but that's not really important. right?

"i can't believe your parents let us stay in this house all by ourselves! they really trust us so much!" chenle exclaimed, happiness along with amusement laced in his voice.

"they trust ME so no messing around or anything got it?" all five heads nodded.

"do you guys want to do something fun for our first night here?" jaemin giggled weirdly which made everyone look at him, already knowing he was planning something dumb.

"like what?" jeno questioned his boyfriend who was way too excited. "lets tell a scary story!"

everyone agreed.

except jisung and renjun.

they ended up doing a vote and long story short, scary stories won 4 to 2. the group was happy to have won but the other two were sulky. their boyfriend's tried cheering them up though.

so with that, they started telling stories.

almost 20 minutes had gone by and jaemin was currently telling a story about a vampire.

"once upon a time, lived a very lonely vampire. he wasn't lonely because everyone knew he was a vampire but because he chose to be.

in school, there was a brat who just loved teasing everyone, especially quiet kids. when the vampire moved in to that school, the boy had found a new target to annoy.

so for a couple of months, the boy teased the male who he thought was a human because vampires didn't exist. or so he thought..

after bickering a lot, the two ended up getting close. a little too close.

they went from "enemies", to friends, to lovers.

on a friday night, the boy had decided to visit his boyfriend's house. he was once told to never visit the house with asking him first but he wanted to surprise his boyfriend for his birthday.

without much thought, he knocked on the door but didn't receive an answer.

he remembered his boyfriend's words of never visiting his house without any notice but that was before they even dated. maybe he didn't care anymore?

with that, the dumb human reach for the knob and twisted it. although a bit surprised at how the door opened and wasn't locked, he stepped in, not bothering to announce his arrival.

he searched everywhere in the house but couldn't find his strangely pale lover. that was until he stepped inside his room.

there he saw the male, covered in blood. at first he was shocked. did his lover die?

the human was really really really shocked. he wanted to scream, revive his lover. but he just stood there in shock.

then he noticed what the pale male was wearing, head phones. was that why he couldn't hear him? is he not dead just listening to music asleep? whose blood is that?

that's just a couple of the many many thoughts that ran through his head.

in the end, the human concluded that the blood was just paint or something and decided to leave without even talking to the supposed human.

he turned around, ready to walk through the door and leave quietly. but before he knew it, the door shut by itself and he felt a body pressing up against him.

"you made a mistake. i told you not to come in here unannounced."

next thing you know, the human's blood was splattered all across the hungry vampire's mouth."

the story left all of them shocked. who knew jaemin was such a good story teller?

"that was amazing." donghyuck clapped, complimenting his friend who proudly smiled.

"are you guys not scared?!" jisung, scaredly asked, moving closer to chenle who was laughing at his reaction.

"don't worry, jisungie. it's not like vampires are real." donghyuck smiled and patted his head. "now that i think about it, don't you guys think mark could be a vampire?" jeno voiced out a thought.

.

.

.

the room went from quiet to laughing.

"how could mark be a vampire? he's so nice and cute." donghyuck explained, calming down from his laughter.

"i mean.. he is pale and really cold." renjun shrugged, adding onto the thought. "he's pale because korea has an obsession with light skin color, plus he doesn't go out a lot. he's cold because the winter just ended a month or so ago. he'll get hot in a bit." donghyuck frantically informed. how could his friends have such thoughts about mark?

"okay okay, if you say so. anyways, where is mark?" chenle questioned which made everyone look around, where is mark?

"i think he went to the bathroom and to bed." donghyuck shrugged. mark must've been tired from college.

"how about we all go to sleep? we'll go explore tomorrow." jaemin planned which everyone agreed with.

so with that, donghyuck gave everyone a room to settle in. him, going to the master bedroom. he expected to see mark there but he wasn't.

maybe he was downstairs eating.

not giving it much thought, donghyuck took off his clothes, putting on pajamas and going to sleep.

the thought of mark being there when he wakes up circling through his mind.
