"donghyuck.. you can't think like that." jaemin wiped the tears that were falling off of his friend's eyes.

it was currently 2 am. instead of sleeping like the rest of the guys, the two were sitting down on jaemin's king sized bed, speaking about donghyuck and mark's relationship.

"how am i not supposed to think like this jaemin?! i'm not even going to lie, ever since you told me about that and yeri's text that she sent me, i've been extra careful. i don't want to annoy him too much, i don't want to do anything he doesn't want me to. i don't know where it all went wrong but i just can't lose him." donghyuck silently cried.

"donghyuck i assure you, he's not cheating on you." jaemin insisted, feeling bad for even telling his friend what he had heard two years ago.

it went silent for a couple of minutes. each in their own thoughts. donghyuck was drowning in thoughts of mark cheating on him.

whereas jaemin was squinting his eyes, trying to make out if there was a shadow under the door—that could be seen thanks to the moonlight and lack of curtains this house had—or if his mind was just playing games with him.

in the end, he concluded he was going crazy. everyone was asleep and jeno had locked every single door so no one could get it.

"you remember what you told me two years ago when mark and i started dating? how he was known for being a player. to be honest, i knew that. he had broken many hearts, jaemin. i noticed how girls and boys cried when they talked to him. i wasn't and am not stupid. i was aware. yet i liked him so much i took the chance of letting him play me. in the end, he didn't. well i thought he didn't but now i don't know." donghyck shared, his heart was heavy.

mark wasn't just acting weird earlier today, this had been going on for a while now but it only started to affect him now.

maybe this getaway was needed. it helped him realize what he was missing.

"no, donghyuck stop. mark is definitely not cheating on you! do you see how he stares at you? you know how you tell me "look at how renjun and jeno look at you" "oh they're so whipped for you"? well mark looks at you the same! you have him wrapped all around your finger. at that time when i told you that i just did it as a warning, for you not to get hurt. i didn't mean for it to be hurting you now." jaemin felt really bad. but at the same time didn't?

jaemin and donghyuck had been best friends for as long as they can remember. although it's getting him into a bit of trouble now, jaemin should be relieved he told donghyuck what he did.

i mean come on?

if your best friend was to date a KNOWN player, you would tell them about their background to warn them. not as a way to try and break them up. just as a simple way to take caution, just in case.

"tell me. tell me why you think he's cheating on you." jaemin, tired of sitting, layed down to rest his back. donghyuck followed his movements, also laying down next to him.

"well first of all, he's in college. i'm currently not in the same school as him. for all i know, he could be dating multiple people in there. as long as they don't know me, it wouldn't be a problem to flirt with mark. he's funny and a very good looking person." donghyuck started. he couldn't help but allow a smile to take over his face as he said the last part.

mark indeed was a handsome and hilarious man.

"donghyuck. mark isn't just nice to anyone and you know that. how many months did it take for you to even get him to laugh at your joke?" to prove his point, jaemin questioned the dramatic male.

"three." donghyuck answered with a sigh, knowning jaemin could be right.
