Lola
I went back to Isabel and Carlos, I just couldn't stand talking to Charles after our little friendship-something-feeling-admitting.
We pay the bill and walk back to the hotel. Carlos and Isabel wanted some 'alone time'.
I storm up the stairs to the elevator to try and see if I could make it before Charles. I didn't want to share an elevator ride with him all alone. Sadly he quickly slips in the elevator. The whole ride up to the room is in complete silence.
I stepped into the hotel room, my heart still racing from the disastrous dinner with Charles and the others. The tension between us was unbearable, and now we were stuck sharing a single bed. Great.
As we entered the bedroom, I couldn't help but feel a mix of annoyance and apprehension. The bed seemed ridiculously small, mocking our animosity. Charles let out a frustrated sigh, breaking the silence.
"Look, Lola, I know we can't stand each other, but we have no choice. Let's just survive the night without killing each other, okay?"
I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms tightly. "Trust me, Charles, the feeling is mutual. But I won't let your presence ruin my sleep. We need some ground rules."
Reluctantly, we agreed to divide the bed with an imaginary line, each claiming our side. As we settled in, the tension lingered in the air. I stared at the ceiling, contemplating the absurdity of it all.
Minutes turned into hours, and the silence became suffocating. I couldn't take it anymore. "You know, Charles, maybe we don't have to be friends, but we can at least try to tolerate each other's presence."
He nodded, understanding my point. "Yeah, I guess we can try. Let's just keep things civil and avoid any unnecessary drama."
I smiled, relieved that we were on the same page. "Agreed. No need to make this situation any worse than it already is."
As the night wore on, we maintained a polite distance, acknowledging each other's existence without engaging in conversation. The silence was still there, but it felt less suffocating.
In the quiet darkness, we found solace in the fact that we didn't have to be friends, but we could coexist peacefully. And as the night drifted away, I couldn't help but hope that this unexpected encounter would soon be nothing more than a distant memory.
The next morning, the sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow into the room. I stretched my body, trying to shake off the remnants of a restless night. I felt that secureness from a strong arm around my waist. It was such a nice feeling until I saw who's arm it was... "AAH!" I almost scream. Charles was slowly waking up. "what is it?" He says still very tired. And then he realizes. "AH MERDE!" He yells. The bedding flies around the room and we both try to get some clothes on since it was so hot at night. He was just in his boxers and I was just in my underwear. His abs... Smash. "Uhh... Here." I say as I throw his t-shirt over on the other side of the bed. "Thanks." He quickly says before putting it on together with some grey sweat pants. I accidentally put one of his t-shirts on and don't even realize it until he sees it. "Why are you wearing my clothes?" He asks with a mischievous look on his face. "Ah shit sorry. Should I take it off?" I almost pull it off until his says: "You look nice in it."
"Guess I do..." I say as I look in the mirror. I put on some shorts and we go down to eat some breakfast.
