CHAPTER 1 - SHE
──────────────────

SHE was the love of my life. I knew the moment I saw her that she was my soulmate. I don't know how to explain it, but oh my God I just knew.

I remember the first day I met her so clearly. I was a second year at Jujutsu High School. I had just turned 17.

Sleeping on my desk, Geto and Shoko busted through the classroom door. They went on and on about a new transfer student that was supposed to be coming in the next day. Just waking up from my disrupted nap, I had no care in the world about a new student. So I didn't ask for their name, grade, or anything like that.

The next morning, Yaga, who was our teacher at the time, entered the classroom. Geto and Shoko perked up in their seats as Yaga began to introduce our new colleague. I remember slouching with my arms crossed, barely even listening to his "make them feel welcomed" speech.

But as soon as the transfer student opened the door, I knew my life was going to change forever.

2007

"Please welcome your new classmate." Yaga, who was standing at the front of the classroom, turned to the door that led to the school hallway. "You may enter." He raised his voice a bit, so the student outside could hear him.

Shoko whipped her head to the door so quickly that her whole desk rattled with excitement. Geto sat straighter, tilting his head. Meanwhile, Gojo remained unbothered.

For some reason, he had no interest in a new classmate. He was fine with Shoko and Geto, as well as the other underclassmen. If anything, he was certain that this new transfer would be a stuck up dude who'd think he's the shit. Gojo would have to put him in his place, then they'd have beef for the rest of the school year until they went on a mission together that they would trauma-bond over.

That's how Gojo and Geto became friends at least.

The wooden door slid open, and from that moment on, everything fell into slow motion.

The three students watched in awe as this transfer student walked elegantly to the front. She turned to her new classmates, and they all had time to examine her beauty.

Saying she was pretty would be an understatement. She was gorgeous. Stunning. Hands down the most beautiful human being they had ever seen. But it wasn't just her looks that made her attractive. But her aura. It felt gentle. Relaxing. They all felt at ease just looking at her.

She had beautiful hair, which sat perfect on her shoulders. Beautiful lips, that turned into a perfect smile that revealed her perfect teeth. A beautiful body, that looked perfect in their school uniform.

The one thing about her that really made her stand out though,

were her eyes.

They weren't brown. Nor green. Not blue, not gray. Just white. Plain white.

She had no pupils. Just blank slates for eyes.

"...L/n Y/n. Nice to meet you." She had a soothing voice, entrancing even.

The three students' mouths were hanging agape. Gojo's more than the others.

The girl glanced to Yaga. Yaga cleared his throat loudly.

"...Hi"
"Hello."
"Hey."

Y/n grinned, and bowed.

Yaga walked up to her, and pointed to the desk next to Gojo. "Go ahead and have a seat. Class will start in about 15 minutes. There is business I need to attend to."

As y/n walked to her seat, Yaga began his leave. "Be respectful to her. I'll be back soon for lecture." He demanded, shutting the classroom door behind him.

Once he left, the room was deafening with silence. A few moments went by, before Geto, Shoko, and Gojo all turned in their chairs to look at her. She hitched, her lip twitching nervously.

They said not a single word. Only stared.

Y/n felt her stomach churn a bit, before a light bulb went off in her head. "OH!!" She yelped. Suddenly, her different colored orbs spun in the whites of her eyes like a gambling machine. Brown, green, blue, black, brown, green, blue, black, brown, green, blue, black—

Her left eye landed on the color green. While her right eye landed on blue.

The three students immediately sighed loudly, their tense bodies loosening.

Shoko coughed aggressively, hitting her chest. "What the heck!"

"What just happened?" Geto rubbed his temples, squeezing his eyes shut.

Gojo ripped his glasses off his face. "Holy shit!"

Y/n stood out of her chair, bowing over and over apologetically. "Sorry! I'm so sorry! I still don't know how to control it! I must've been so nervous that I forgot to focus on my eyes!!"

Gojo turned to her slowly, his brows furrowed with extreme confusion.

At the time, she accidentally entranced us with her cursed technique. But that one accident,

would leave me intrigued with her forever.
