Holly:

I was lying in bed reading. There was a storm going on and mam and dad weren't home, Laura and Lila were fast asleep. I was praying that Lydia was as well. The storm was kinda soothing however it does get to a point were it got really bad and I got really scared. I was reading a random story, when i hear a knock on my door, I get out of bed and open my door to see Lydia, hugging her teddy bear and having tears streaming down her eyes. She was only 9 while i was 11. She ran into my arms and i picked her up and put her on my bed. Her head hit my pillow and she got really comfy. I got in next to her and she placed her head on my chest and I stroked her hair.

"Can you sing to me" Lydia asked

"Of course what song"

"Never grow up"

"Okay"

Your little hand's wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter 'cause you're dreamin'
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you, everything's funny
You got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have honey
If you could stay like that

Oh, darlin', don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh, darlin', don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
It could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
Never grow up

Lydia had fallen asleep by the end of the song and I fell asleep shortly after.

Lydia:

It was 12 o'clock when I woke up because of the storm. I was silently crying as I was waking up. I put on my lights and grabbed my teddy bear and hugged her tightly. I saw that Holly's light was on so I got out of bed and walked to her room. I knocked on her door and when she opened it I ran up to her and she picked me up. She took me to her bed and lay me down, my head instantly touching the pillow and me relaxing. She lay down next to me and started to play with my hair. I asked her if she could sing to me and I could hear her voice as I fell asleep
