As I was walking to my house, I might've gotten a little distracted and wandered into zombie town. Don't judge me, I wanted to talk to Eliza about the ordeal. But as I'm walking through the streets, I see Zoey, Zed's little sister, nailing some piece of paper.
I walked over to her, curiosity getting the best of me, per usual,
"What's that, Zoey?"
"Oh, Hi, Y/N! I'm looking for a werewolf!" I gulped, there had been too much talk of werewolves today, it was getting to my head.
"Why would you want to do that?" Zoey opened her mouth to speak, but her dad did instead,
"Zoey! Come one home, it's not safe with all these werewolves running around on the loose."
"Just one sec," she responded. Her dad went back inside, and went Zoey went to answer my question a strange man showed up, catching her attention,
"Have you seen a werewolf? I'm looking for a werefriend!" she asked him. The guy was seemingly examining me. Strange. He turned his focus to Zoey.
"Silly kid. There's no such thing as werewolves." He finished with a slight smile.
"But we heard it howl."
"Maybe it was a hiker saying 'howls it going?'" I was getting weird vibes from this random dude, and instinctively stepped in front of Zoey, causing the man to turn his attention back to me.
"Come on, Zoey. I'm sure this nice man has things to do. He doesn't want to be bombarded with silly questions," I tried to usher her into her house.
"They aren't silly questions... and... it was a werewolf!" She tilted her head. "What big eyes you have.."
"Zoey, come on," her dad yelled again. I waved goodbye to her as she hurried away.
"Are you from here?" The man asked me.
"Yes, why?" I narrowed my eyes, unsure of where this was going.
"Are you sure.. I just thought you looked... never mind," he looked me up and down again. I raised an eyebrow, this guy was strange, and I've never seen him before.
"Well, I'll be off, nice meeting you," I said, questioning myself a little bit. He nodded, and as I turned around to leave, I heard him snatch the paper Zoey had nailed.
"What a weirdo..." I muttered to myself.
