You started working in the same mafia as Shade. They told you not you. After all, you were their best friend (or s/o *shrug*)

They had almost gotten down on their knees to keep you from going, but you didn't listen and joined anyway...

You got to know their siblings, Aster, their twin brother, May, one of their younger sisters, Dalila, the other sister, and Nino, the youngest child, the baby brother as you might call him.

You noticed they all didn't seem to like the fact you were working for Gavino now. They all had given you a few tips and tricks, especially telling you to never anger him, or that could lead to permanent damage on your body...

Today, Gavino had called you onto his office for your first ever task, and to be quite frank, you were excited, you didn't think getting your first task would be as exhilarating as it turned out to be.

You made a turn and noticed that Shade, who had always waited for you in that specific hall if Gavino needed you, wasn't there today.

You figured that they had most likely gone on an assassination mission, so you didn't worry about it too much.

You made your way into Gavino's office, who was staring at you with his cold, Feijoa (#AED581) colored eyes.

Beside him was Shade, but, they didn't look the same as you had come to know... Their eyes were as red as even the darkest ruby, they wore a tight muzzle around their mouth, but, black fluid leaked out of it anyway.

They had chains that wrapped tightly around their wings, arms, and legs. The one thing that frightened you the most though... Was the cold, predator like stare you were receiving from them. It made you feel like prey, waiting to be bitten into you...

Gavino cleared his throat, which caught yours and Shade's attention.

"Young Y/N, I have a very important task for you to fulfill." Gavino declared to you. You stood up straight instantly, hands behind your back as you waited for him to say what your task was.

"You see, we can no longer handle Shade and their... Unfortunate transformation anymore, and we need you, to go sell them for us, after all, you were the person they trust the most, even more then their siblings." Gavino explained.

Your heart instantly sank, you couldn't sell Shade, after all they had done for you... But, this was the mafia after all, you nodded your head, ashamed of yourself almost.

Gavino gave you his usual smirk and helped you to get the bat-like being into a literal cage. You couldn't believe that Shade was like this. They continually tried to lash out at you, but they couldn't because of the bars.

By the time you had gotten to the selling place, Shade was worn out and looked at you...
