"This doesn't make sense. If your mother can coerce your dad then why didn't she stop him from sending you guys to the camps?" Namjoon asked. "There is a backstory. You see my mum and dad had a love marriage. They ran away actually but, yeah. And technically they are cousins." Alexa narrated. "Incest!" Taehyung interrupted. "Banger!" Hobi added. "Ignore them, continue" Yoongi said annoyed.
"See, here's the thing. My mum's dad; my maternal grandpa also ran away and had a love marriage. The entire family is Muslim and the lady he married was a Christian. It was sort of accepted. My mum however grew up as a sort of half Muslim and half Christian. At the age of 20, she was supposed to pick out one religion for like the rest of her life but, at 19 my dad came to know about it and also that she was going to be married off as well. So he whisked her away out of jealousy because he loved her and she sort of liked him as well.
And then in the first year they had my sister, Alesha. And when she was 3 and a half, my mother was pregnant again, with me and Ava. And the day we were born, our dad who was supposedly very happy until our birth said that after a month he'll be sending his kids to stay with mother's side of family to learn our culture. Our mom did resist but couldn't do much.
At the age of four. Like when me and Ava were four and Alesha was seven or eight I think, all of us were shipped off to camps. And the next child, that my parents would have would be the next heir to like everything. Something was off and last year I came to know that my mother hasn't slept much less been in the same room as my father ever since he sent us to India. So, there is something my mother knows but, now she won't remember anything because she is going to be hypnotized by my dad into forgetting everything. He finally found a way. A secure way to do it. That's why I ran away, because I saw her being guided to the doctor." she completed.
"They fought over something. Like a murder or an illegal business that your father did.He loved her so he didn't hide it from her. And she couldn't accept what he did but, couldn't leave as she loved him but, didn't let him off for whatever he did either" Taehyung said sipping the smoothie. "Man, my hangover disappeared so quickly, what did you put in this?" Taehyung looked up to find everyone staring at him.
"I don't know no shit but, you are the IQ 148 of this group" Alexa said looking impressed. "So you mean Nicky and Ryle introduced us on purpose? Why would they do that?" Jungkook asked. "They could be my sister's underlings and that's why she entrusted me to you or-" she was interrupted by Jimin holding her hand, "We'll look after you so well that your past will look like a mere bad dream."
"Okay, I guess but, that's not happening. I'm going to my family in India, get some answers, rescue my mother and sister, complete whatever Alesha wanted to, Kill Nicky and Ryle for being douche bags, get my dad to his senses, run the family business with my sister and live a nice life. Plan set." she listed. "That's going to take all of your youth" Jin pointed out. "So?"
"So? You're saying so when more than half of your life is going down the drain? Not really down the drain but, you know when it all ends, you'll feel purposeless. And you might not even have a lover. Does that make any sense?" Jin said casting her pitiful looks. "So what do you want me to do? Forget my suffering family, marry you and live in a happy dream for the rest of my life?"
"No, eww, obviously not. That's practically incest. Me and my grandchild? No ways but, I'm young enough to pass as your lover" Jin continued. "I'm not your grandchild. If you raised Alesha and I'm her sister, then I'm supposed to be a sort of child to you as well. Not grandchild." she made a face at him. "What are the rest of you so quiet for?"
"You're going to leave." Namjoon pointed out. "You don't have a fixed safe plan." Yoongi reminded. "You have no guarantee that the Indian family will help you" Hobi added.
"What if you die?" Jungkook asked and everyone looked at him like he just said Voldemort out loud.
