Chapter 2

Point of view Sophia

"What? I went to school you can't blame me" I say "you want me to believe you actually went to a place you hate?" I nod and look at Mason for help I know he will defend me if he knows what's going on we are going out tonight to meet two other friends they don't know we mostly sit in a field sometimes we smoke sometimes we just talk but it's always fun with Leo and Emile but they can be annoying too but we all can we do always have fun and that is important.We moved to Georgia a few years ago when Tristan turned eighteen Connor and I always wanted to move away from Aberdeen for different reasons we took Mason and his niece with us when we moved and we met Emile and Leo here they are really nice they play football with Mason while I have my band sometimes Melisa died in a car crash and ever since that day Mason took care of Summer and it can be difficult because he is a kid himself but he always gets help from Tristan when he doesn't know what to do.

"we did go to school she isn't lying" Mason says "okay I believe you too" Tristan is a really weird guy but does want the best for us and our family even if it's small, has issues and is fragile he does love us andd wants to protect us with his life if he has too "Soph and I are going out with Ems and Leo we will be home tonight" Mason says "drive safe and don't go drunk driving" how does he know that? oh fuck Ems brother is friends with them I keep forgetting that so he probably told on us.

Sophia: they know what we do in the fields?

Ems: I want to say something but fuck

Mase: James probably told on us but I don't know for sure

Leo: he will deny it

Sophia: I don't even care they know what will they do ruin my life? that's already ruined

Ems: he can drop you off at an orphanage

Mase: she couldn't care less

Leo: Mase is right Ems she doesn't care, do you ever think about getting an education?

Sophia: hell nah

Ems: why should we?

Mase: why Leo?

Leo: just curious about that I know it was completely random I know.

"hey boys how is it going?" I ask "I can kill James for his last action but it's alright" I am Bisexual but have a toxic boyfriend at the moment and only Leo, Emile and Mason know I like guys and girls and that I have a crush on Katrina Stuart but they will never tell anyone "how is Ryan?" Leo asks "I don't know he's mad at me about something that I didn't even said" Emile rolls his eyes he and Mase can kill him and I know it Ryan is a year older and a bitch to really everyone.

"do you think Connor will get mad?" Emile asks "nah, what kind of question is that? we are in a field with alcohol and drugs and we stole their car" he laughs and says fair enough I would get mad if my kid did that I would maybe even kill them, so I would understand if Connor would get mad because we would get mad too if our kids would do something like that but I would rather have them tell me they want to do it than doing it in secret so I can keep an eye on them.

"Connor is really nice so I don't get why he would get mad" Mason says "we are seventeen we have to be twenty-one to drink and do drugs" I get my phone to see a text from Ryan I put my phone away I do not want to talk to him and put myself in a bad mood while being with friends I don't want that today I don't feel like being sad or angry today I don't care he gets mad that is his problem I want to break up with him but I'm scared he will do something bad.

Ryan: Soph can we talk?

Ryan: hello

Ryan: Soph?

Sophia: what?

Ryan: why so moody?

Ryan: can I come over?

Sophia: I'm trying to sleep

Ryan: without saying goodnight?

Sophia: I forgot I'm just really tired we can talk tomorrow

Ryan: sure in the cafe to get breakfast at eight

Sophia: yeah sure I will be there to talk to you

Ryan: alone after that I want to talk to you about something serious at my house

Sophia: fine I have to leave at one

Ryan: that is enough time to talk believe me babe

Sophia: I believe you Ryan goodnight I'll see you tommorow

Ryan: goodnight darling.

"Ryan and I meet tommorow to talk" I say "is that safe?" maybe it is maybe it isn't I don't know yet if I show up late it is dangerous but I don't want to think about that too much I get another whiskey shot and a joint "try to be as safe as possible Sophia I don't want you to die" Mason says "I won't die that easily I will live really long" they laugh but know i'm serious I'm not planning on dying as long as I'm high I don't feel anything and I like that just not thinking and saying things that don't make sense.

"are we sleeping in the fields?" Emile asks "ofcourse we are" we mostly sleep on the fields on the days we hang there getting high and drunk to numb our pain it's better than going home and having to deal with mad parents or brothers we don't want that so we will sleep in the fields tell our family we are sleeping at each other's house while we aren't we are together but not at a house and we always say we are at Leo's because Fiona and Katie are the kindest and allow everything.
