Kai-El Az-Rel was a soldier on Krypton before it's destruction, and much like Kara and Kal-El he was sent to earth, but rather on a mission to protect Kara Zor-El.
The question remains, will he complete his mission?

Kallias POV : Season 1 Episode 10: Childish Things
"Not that I mind it Kara, but I feel like I'm hearing from you a lot recently." The younger woman giggled quietly into the phone.
"I need a favour." Kallias chuckled shrugging his blazer from his shoulder his silk tie slipping through calloused fingers,
"Of course, I'm on my way." Kara smiled as the tone rang, a giddy expression overcoming her lips. Before Kallias' large figure appeared towering over the balcony of CatCo.
"What do you need, Kara?" The Kryptonian smiled, eyeing the dark carbon fibre of his suit.
"I assume you know about Toy Man?" The man nodded with a sceptical expression,
"Yeah, he's the father of you friend, Winn Shot, I'm assuming this is a personal favour." Kara nodded fiddling anxiously with her glasses.
"I need you to track him down, and find him." Kallias nodded with a small smile,
"Of course, I assume you want him alive." Kara nodded bashfully, "It's admirable what your doing helping your friend, I'll call you if I find anything."
Kara nodded watching wistfully as Kallias disappeared into the high altitudes of the clouds.

"He'll be at the Toy Convention, and I'd hazard a guess that your friend Winn will be there too." Kara nodded thankfully, his deep voice comforting,
"Thank you, Kallias." The man nodded silently,
"Of course, I'll keep my distance this time let you commit all the heroic acts." Kara giggled quietly nodding,
"Thank you, it's appreciated." The sound of her laughed coaxed a genuine grin to ghost thin lips.
"Pleasure all mine, and if your not busy tonight Kara there's something I'd like to show you, no pressure of course." Kara nodded slowly anxiously surprised.
"Yeah, yeah I'd like that." His lips pulled wider,
"Fantastic, stop at the office around eight alright." Kara nodded her thumb hovering over the button to end the call an air of excitement overcoming her expression.

"You look gorgeous Kara, now if you'll do me the honour and follow me." The woman nodded smiling widely, blushing slightly
"What uh... what did you want to show me?" Kallias smirked widely as the doors opened revealing a familiar concealed fortress,
"Home." Kara confused stare coaxed a low chuckle from Kallias,
"I've been trying to recreate a holographic simulation of Krypton since I reached earth, and yesterday I finally succeeded." Kara's eyes widened with excitement,
"So Kara, welcome home." A holographic world surrounded them, the familiar setting coaxing teary eyes,
"It's really Krypton." Kallias nodded through cloudy vision,
"It's a close to it as we have." Kara followed his striding figure elated as her eyes darted hastily observing her surroundings,
"What is- I've never seen this building before." Kallias nodded his eyes swarmed with reminiscence.
"You wouldn't have, most noble families made sure to keep their sons and daughters from here. It was where, when you came of age, you would be told what you would become and who you were to be with. A genetically engineered future based on your genetic material. It's where they told me I'd be a soldier."
