"You know momma gonna curse y'all out when she see y'all on her bed eating all her snacks" Emoni told me and Dre as she walked back into the room, holding gio
We both just looked at her before looking at the tv again
"Where my momma at Anyways? Why she ain at home?"
"My momma grown... she gotta life too"
We both looked at her again and she threw up her hand
"Not too much on my momma. Y'all act like she don't have friends"
"She don't" Darius bluntly said as he handed me the bag of chips
"Who says she didn't make any that y'all don't know of?"
"She didn't" I responded, grabbing a chip out of the bag and eating it
"You better tell me where my momma at" Darius told emoni
"Or what? You can't hit me while I'm holding my nephew"
"Says who?"
"Me nigga. The hell" I intervened, looking at Darius then emoni "put my son down first before he whoop yo ass"
"Dre you are a terrible big brother"
"You ain tellin where momma at?"
"Y'all so dramatic. She should be on the way home. She went to get a wig installed by some lady she know"
"A wig? Why she ain say something. I could've got that girl that do Ana wigs to do hers"
"Kenya?" Emoni asked, switching gio onto her other hip "she used to do mine until I learned to do my own"
"Well if you know how to do em why you don't do my baby's?"
"I said I know how to do MINE. Not other people's. Why you think momma went to somebody else"
"That lady better not fuck up my momma hair. I talk too much shit to people to have have my momma out lookin any type of way" Darius said while I ate some of the chips out of the bag
Gio tapped emoni's shoulder before pointing over at me
"Chip" he said to her
"You want em?"
He nodded so emoni walked over to the bed and tried to snatch the bag but Darius grabbed it first. He reached in the bag and grabbed one, reaching it out to gio
As soon as gio was about to grab it darius pulled it away and his smile dropped
"I told you about bullying my son. Beat his ass Gio"
As soon as gio started swinging that arm, smiling again, Darius reached the chip back out to him
"Here bad ass"
Gio grabbed the chip from Darius and emoni snatched the bag before turning to walk off
"Everytime y'all come over here y'all just bypass every other room in this house and go straight to mine" I could hear my momma say as she came in the house
When emoni was about to leave the room she stopped, running into momma, and paused before turning back around and walked back in the room
The look on her face.. I knew she wanted to say something bad and when momma walked in the room, I knew why
She sat her purse down as gio reached for her so she grabbed him, kissing his cheek while all three of us looked at the wig on her head
"Emoni. I need you to help me take this shit off. Right now" she eventually said, looking at her
