Valene stood in the room she had been shown, looking around. She was alone for now, the room mate she was to be bunking with was out, she guessed comitting more travesties on humanity. She made a small sigh as she sat on the bed. It was soft, the entire room actually looked pretty normal. The decor was mostly blues of different shades and a bit of grey. There were a few books lining the shelves on the wall to her left near a dresser that had a few miscellaneous items sprawled across the top. The room wasn't incredibly messy, but it was clear this person wasn't a neat freak by any means. Valene didn't much care, she would probably find time to pick up after them anyways since she didn't mind cleaning. Sometimes, it even relaxed her.
With a small grunt she lied back on the bed, placing her hands over her face. She let ot a long exhale, peeking through her fingers and staring up at the ceiling. This...was going to be her life from now on...stuck in a house with...monsters. She couldn't believe this was happening. It had to all be a nightmare, right? There's no way something like this could happen...she had to be dreaming.
'Wake up....wake up.....just wake up...'
She closed her eyes tightly, repeating over and over in her head, trying to wake herself from this nightmare. After a moment or two she opened her eyes again. When met with the same ceiling she had been staring at before, her heart sank a little. This was real. This insane situation they had found themselves in was real. The frightening realization cause her to suddenly sit upright and glance to her right. There was another door near her aside from the one she entered through. She got up and went to the door, standing in front of it. Some part of her didn't want to open it, fearing what might be on the other side. Her mind raced with the possibilities. Possible piles of dead bodies...or jars of different organs and body parts. But there was a sick curiosity rising in her as she reached for the doorhandle. She didn't know what was compelling her to open this door, but she couldn't help herself as she grasped the door handle, gently turning it. She took a deep breath as she gently pushed the door open, taking a small step forward into the darkness she was met with. Her hand reached out to the wall as she searched for the light switch. Once she found it, she flipped it up. The light illuminated the room which to her relief was just a normal bathroom. She let out her held breath and leaned against the wall. This wasn't so bad, at least this Toby person seemed normal enough. She only hoped he wasn't as bad as Jeff or any of the others she had met so far. With a grunt she pushed herself off the wall and went over to the sink. Upon looking in the mirror she noticed she still wore the outfit she had been forced into at the carnival, make up and all.
"Stupid clown." she huffed as she turned on the sink and began to scrub off the make up.
After she cleaned her face, she looked up into the mirror and couldn't help but curl her nose. Taking the white make up off didn't make much of a difference since she was incredibly pale and fair skinned anyways, but her eyes looked dark and sickly. She looked as though she had been deprived of sleep for weeks, which might as well have been the case since she felt like she could drop at any moment from exhaustion. She looked down at her hands and the striped sleeves she wore. The more she stared at the stripes, the angrier it made her. All she could see was that damned clown...his sick twisted smile....the icy silver gaze...that eerie laugh. She couldnt stand it. She let out a loud frustrated groan and tore at the sleeves, yanking them off her arms. She then tore off the jester collar with the bells, flinging it aside to have it clink against the tile floor. She stared at the rest of the outfit and considered ripping it off as well, but remembered she had no clothes to change into. She huffed again and smacked the wall in frustration before stomping back into the room. She went over to the window and looked out. It was still dark. Of course. Half of her wanted to try and escape again, but she knew where it ended her at last time and she didn't want a repeat...or worse.
