The club was halfway packed when the girls arrived, but since Nex knew most of the people there they had gotten in fairly quick and were at the bar laughing it up with some of the bartenders and patrons.

"So then I tried to lift up and get on the top bunk but my head whacked the ceiling and I almost fell off! Valene had to catch me before I hit the floor!" Claudia laughed out the end of a childhood story she was telling the barman, Danny. She looked over at Valene and Nex with a smile. "Good thing our new houses have high celings!" she nudged Nex with a wink who laughed and nudged her back.

"Yea, I miss that old bunk bed, but man do I wish I had gotten my brother's room. So much more room and it would have fit without giving you a concussion every night you tried to climb up there." Nex said as she downed a shot. "Woo! This is great!"

The barman chuckled a bit and slid another shot to her as she slammed down the cash for it. "Jeez Nex, you're really downing those aren't you." he said as he wiped off the bartop and put all the stray glasses away. Claudia chuckled a bit as she stirred her daquiri.

"Ohh, that's not the only thing she could down, Danny." Claudia said with a wink, causing a deep red blush to cross Nex's cheek. The barman couldn't help but laugh and give her a wink.

"You got some real funny friends there, Nex." he said as he walked down to clear the other side of the bar. Nex then playfully shoved Claudia and swivled in her seat, looking around the club. Claudia eventually got caught up talking to some guy who approached her and she was now giggling and blushing as he flirted. Nex turned back to Valene and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey there Val, you havin a good time?" she asked. Valene looked up from her drink that she hadn't touched and made a small smile.

"Yea, of course. You know I'm not a big drinker though." she said as she stirred her straw. Nex gave her an odd and concerning look to which she just waved her hand to. "Trust me, I'm good. Go mingle and make sure Claudia doesn't get into any trouble." she added. Nex smiled and gave Valene a hug.

"Thanks Val. You and Claudia are the best friends I've ever had." she said before releasing the hug. Valene gave a nod and fixed a curl in her hair.

"It's my pleasure dollface." she said as Nex hopped off her seat when Claudia went to the dance floor with the guy she had been chatting. "And Happy Birthday."

Nex gave Valene a kiss on her cheek before skipping over to dance with Claudia. Valene took a small sip of her drink and watched them for a bit before looking around the club. The music was thumping and the lights were flashing in colorful patterns on the marble dance floor, everything was so lively. However, Valene couldn't help but think back to that weird tune she heard at her house. The thought was killing her, she knew she had heard something like it before but couldn't remember. Why was it driving her so crazy? It was just a tune, but her mind wouldn't let her forget it. She could faintly hear it echoing in her ears as she watched her friends dance. After several moments she finally snapped out of her daze and gave a small sigh. Nex and Claudia seemed to be having fun on the dance floor, a few other guys and girls had came up and were now dancing in a circle around them. They sure had a lot of admirers, even some of the people sitting around the couches were staring. It wasn't too odd, since they were attractive girls, but Valene sensed something odd. Some weird feeling inside her she couldn't shake off. She looked around again, nothing too out  of the ordinary, intoxicated men and women in their primes letting lose and getting funky on the dance floor. Valene smiled a bit to herself, taking another sip of her drink. Her eyes eventually settled on a man standing a little ways to the left of her along the wall, staring at everyone dancing on the floor. Valene couldn't see much of him, his hoodie covered his face along with his long black messy hair that stuck out. He held a drink in his hand and seemed to be pondering as his foot was propped on the wall, his sneakers unlaced and a bit dirty. He was pretty thin, at least from what she could tell. He seemed sort of out of place in this scene...and the weird feeling she had got a bit stronger the more she stared at him. She spent a good ten minutes or so staring until a few people passed by her and blocked her view of the man. When they moved..he was gone. The weird feeling she had passed and she shrugged before she felt someone grabbed her hands. Her head snapped back and she met Nex's emerald green gaze.
