The wind blew through my brown hair and I already could smell the fresh scent of my shampoo which had the smell of roses.

Eventhough I prefer warm weather, it didn't bother me to live in La Push from now on. I actuallz enjoyed the windy air. My Mom had to move here with me because we ran away from something. Mom didn't want to tell me what the reason was why we really fled.

My Mom just packed our things in a rush and we booked a flight in the same night. There was a long silence during the flight, but it felt like she knew something and couldn't tell me. She literally was terrified and shaking.
Her old friend Billy Black helped us to find a home in La Push. Back in the days Mom and him were besties or something.

Well, now this is our first day after we moved here and Billy is our neighbour. I haven't seen anyone today not even other neighbours. So I decided to walk around and explore the neighbourhood. While I did so I crossed the Black property but it looked like no one was at home.

I continued my way to the beach and enjoyed the gentle breeze of the sea. I could well imagine going swimming here in the summer or maybe picnic with some friends if I ever find friends here. My gaze wandered to the cliffs near the beach but far away from me. From a distance I could see how a group of boys jumped down the cliff in a row. Isn't that dangerous?

Suddenly every one of them looked in my direction even the ones who were swimming in the water.
"Weird...", I mumbled to myself and turned my back to them.

When I found a good place to dip my feet into the water, it only took 15 minutes for one of the boys to come at my direction.

"Hey, you must be Meadow?", he asked politely.
I looked at him and nodded. A tanned, handsome guy with pitch black hair stood in front of me. He was without a t-shirt and the water pearls of the sea could be seen on his muscles.
"Yeah, and you are...?", I asked and he couldn't answer.
He stopped frozen until a wave hit his feet and he staggered.
"Are you okay?", I asked worried and suddenly he came back to himself and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm Jacob. Uh.. If you and your mom are in need of anything you can come to me and my dad's door.", he explains a little fidgety.

"That's nice, I'll keep that in mind.", I said with a smile.
He just smiled back and stand at the same spot for a few minutes without saying anything.
"The Boys must be waiting for you.", I said and pointed with my finger at the group of boys.
A few of them walked in our direction from far away.
"Yeah...well. I gotta go.", he just nodded and I did the same.

He walked away and I quietly watched how he got back to his boys. When he arrived, it looked like they were all laughing and annoying him by punching him on his shoulder or trying to push him into the water.
It made me miss my old friends in Texas. I wonder what they're doing right now?

Immersed in my own thoughts I walked my way back to our house.
It took me 10 minutes and when I arrived I spot my mom outside.
She was talking to a man in a wheelchair.

"Meadow! This is Billy Black, Billy this is my daughter.", she told that man and we shook our hands.

He was also very tanned and had pitch black hair which reminded me of his son Jacob.
"Nice to meet you. You look exactly like Maisie.", he said and smiled at my mom who he meant with Maisie.

She laughed and I smiled back at him.
"I hear that often.", I agreed and after a few old dad-jokes I told him about Jacob.
"You guys already met?", he asked and I nodded.

"Well yeah but he was with a few friends so I didn't want to bother him much."
"No worries, I wanted to call you and Maisie to dinner this evening anyways.", he explained.
He's really a gentle talking and nice guy, I can see why my mom always told me about him.

I listened to their conversation for a few more minutes after I excused myself to go in my new room.
It was okay, the wallpaper color in a rust pink and the floors with white oak.
I wondered who this room belonged to before.
I laid in bed and closed my eyes.

Just thinking about what to do in this town.
Maybe I should search for a Job?
When I was lost in my mind, I suddenly heard my ringtone.
I got a message from Unknown.
