After Jacob left, I watched some documentaries on TV to relax. But after a while it got too boring for me and I switched to the next channel. It was a news channel in which strange reports about forks were reported. Animal attacks, missing people. That didn't mean anything good.

Suddenly my phone rang and I could see Paul's name on the Display. Where does he have my number from? I didn't call him after Sue gave me his number.
I really didn't want to pick up but a feeling inside of me said I had to.
So I went with it.

„Hello?", I answered not really in a good mood.
„Meadow, I'm standing in front of your house. Open the door.", he said sounding like out of breath.
I stood up and almost ran to the door.
What does he want here?

The last point of view was how I had scared him out of the room because he had thrown me out of the car.
So I opened the door and what I saw shocked me.

His entire right eye was blue and swolle, his lip burst on the side.
„Oh my god-„
„He told you, right?", he said out of breath and despair was written on his face.
His chest moved up and down while hysterically looking up the eye contact with me.
„Paul, come inside first. What happened?", I asked him worried and let him go into the livingroom.

He stood there while holding the back of his head with his two hands.
„I wanted to tell you first about us. I wanted to be the one.", he just said angrily while punching our chair with his foot away.

„Calm down, everything is okay!", I tried to calm him down but he didn't listen.
I took his hands directly into my hands and looked deep into his eyes.
„You have the chance to tell me your point of view of anything what ever happened now. I'll listen.", I said and it worked. He really calmed down.

„Sit down, I'll bring something for your face."

He sat down and waited for me while I brought the first aid kit with me. I took out everything necessary to disinfect his sore and prepared everything.
I looked him questioningly in the eyes to see if I could treat him and he just nodded.
„Now tell me, why did you dump me out of the car. Why didn't you told me about any of this?", I asked him and he sighed. I lightly pressed the cloth with disinfection on the wound and he didn't even twitch.

„Meadow I was so afraid to turn into your car! I can't control myself if I'm angry and losing control next to you would mean hurting you."

I continued to put on healing cream on his eye and could feel how soft his skin was.
He closed his eyes and smoothed into the couch while I did so.
„I wanted to tell you but telling you would also mean to put you in danger. I couldn't risk that.", he explained and I sighed.

„What about the imprinting?", I asked and he opened his eyes again.
„Jacob didn't explain?"

„He did but I still don't understand...", I admit and suddenly he cupped my face with his hands.
„It means that you were the missing piece of puzzle in my life. Now you stand in front of me and losing you would destroy the whole puzzle. You mean the world to me.", he whispered and I didn't realize that I was crying until he swiped away my tear falling down my cheek.
„Why are you crying?", he asked and I just shook my head.

„Because I don't deserve someone to love me that way."
After what I said, he pulled me closer to him and shook his head.
„You do, and it doesn't matter if you choose him or me, we'll have to respect that."

I rolled my eyes immediately.
„That is how you guys show respect?", I asked him pointing out his whole face.
He had to chuckle a bit.
„Just because I said I'll respect your choice, doesn't mean I wouldn't fight for you.", he said with a soft grin and I punched him on the shoulder softly.

„So Jacob really did that to your face?", I said unbelievably. He licked himself slightly over the lower lip and then moaned slightly because he had accidentally licked over the wound.
„You should see his face, do you think I would let that slide?", he just said and I stood up immediately.

„Paul! Are you being serious? I'm calling Jacob.", I said worried and put my phone out.
Before I could even dial Jacob's number, Paul grabbed my phone and threw it on the couch.
„Do you really care more about how Jacob is doing? Should I tell you something, your oh so great Jacob is at Bella Swan right now instead of taking care of you here!", he said angrily and I didn't know what to answer.

Bella Swan.

Who was that? Did he have a girlfriend?

„Who is Bella?", I asked and Paul just sighed.
„No one, I should go.", he said and wanted to leave the room but I ran in front of him before he could even escape.
„Who is Bella?!", I asked again and he stopped.
Judging by his face, he really didn't want to tell me, but part of him knew he had to confess it to me

„Jacob has been very much in love with her for years, before you came, the two of them kissed. After our argument, he got a call from Bella that she really wants to see him. That's all I know.", he explained and after he did a strange feeling covered my body. My hands got cold and I almost had to throw up.

He immediately put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him so I wouldn't fall on my knees.
„ I just want you to know that Jacob is not honest with everything. If you want, I'll call Bella and find out the truth.", he offered me and I nodded.

„Call her."
