“Everyone! Morning homeroom is about to start!” Iida shouted.  “Stop talking and take your seats!”

“We're already in our seats.” Sero said.

“You're the only one who's not.” Uraraka said.

“Shoot!” Iida said as he sat down. Akira shook her head with a small smile. She found Iida’s antics amusing sometimes. A couple students began to wonder if Aizawa would be in today after his injuries, which made Akira sigh. She and her uncle had been caring for the man since he got out of the hospital. Akira wanted him to take time off to rest but he refused. So, Akira knew the stubborn man would be here any moment.

“Morning.” Aizawa said as he walked in mostly covered in bandages.

“Mr. Aizawa, you're back too soon!” someone yelled out.

“You're too much of a pro!” Kirishima said.

“So you're all right, Mr. Aizawa?” Tsuyu asked.

“My well-being doesn't matter.” Aizawa said, which made Akira scoff. She couldn't see the smirk her scoff put on Aizawas face when he heard it. “More importantly, the fight is not yet over.”

“Fight?” Sero asked.

“Don't tell me…” Kaminari said.

“The villains again?” Mineta asked fearfully.

“The U.A. sports festival is drawing near.” Aizawa said. People got excited about it and even Akira was smiling. This was the one thing she had been looking forward to about coming to this school. She had always wanted to compete in it. Someone brought up the recent villain attack. “Apparently, they think of it as U.A. showing” Aizawa continued. “that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened
to five times that of previous years. Above all, our sports festival is a huge chance.”

“They wouldn't cancel it without something major happening,” Akira said. “It's not an event to be canceled because of a few villains.”

“It's just a festival of sports.” Aizawa said.

Akira sat with Iida, Uraraka, and  Tsuyu at lunch. Midoirya wasn’t with them due to being asked to lunch by All Might.

“What do you think about the upcoming Sports Festival, Yamada?” Iida asked.

Akira smiled and looked up at him. “I am honestly excited about it. I have been looking forward to this part since I decided to come to UA. Ive always watched previous years on TV.”

“That surprises me,” Iida said.

“Oh?” Akira smirked but was curious. “How so?”

“You never seemed to be the one who liked  to fight,” Iida said.

“This isnt a fight.” Akira smiled. “Its a sport festival and we both know I love a challenge.” Iida shook his head. Those were famous words at their secondary school after Akira transferred in. Akira came in and just excelled at everything she tried.  “I hope you will be competing seriously this time, Iida. No trying to claim chivalry anymore.” Iida looked at her and nodded.

“I will be doing my best to win,” Iida said.

“Good,” Akira smiled. “So will I. And I cant wait to show Bakugou what its like to lose.”

“What the fuck did you say, you blonde bitch?” Bakugou yelled from his table.

“Well if ya heard me from all the way over there, then why should I repeat myself?” Akira smiled glancing over at him.

“Bring it. I will kick your ass and anyone else who stands in my way,” Bakugou growled.

It was the end of the day and everyone was trying to leave class, but no one could get through. The hallway was filled with people trying to get a look at them.

“What's going on?” Someone asked.

“What business do you have with Class A?”

“We can't get out!”

“What'd you come here for, anyway?”

“Scouting out the enemy, small fry.” Bakugou answered.  “We're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. They probably wanna check us out for the sports festival. There's no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!”

“Stop calling people "extras" just because you don't know them!” Iida yelled at him with his usual chopping hand gesture, which make Akira chuckle. Though the next voice made her freeze. She looked up and her fear was confirmed.

“I came to see what the famous Class A was like,” A purple haired student said with his hands in his pockets and a tired uncaring expression. “but you seem pretty arrogant. Are all the students
in the hero course like this? Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned. There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into the hero course. Did you know that? The school has left those of us a chance. Depending on the results of the sports festival, they'll consider our transfer into the hero course. And it seems they may also transfer people out.
Scouting out the enemy? I, at least, came to say that even if you're in the hero course, if you get too carried away,

I'll sweep your feet out from under you.

I came with a declaration of war.” He finished. Then he spotted a certain blonde in class 1-A. “Of course you made it into the hero course Akira.”

“Hello Hitoshi.” Akira said sadly.

“You know him Yamada?” Iida asked.

“Yamada?” Hitoshi asked. “So you took your uncles name. Guess it makes since after your father threw you away” He shook his head. Akira just looked down at the ground.

“Yamada?” A couple students said her name concered.

“And why are you cross dressing?” Hitoshi asked. Akira’s eyes widened. She was aout to get outed.

“Shut up Hitoshi,” Akira said. “I am dressed as I am supposed to be.” She said firmly.

“Why are you calling them a cross dresser?” Iida said. “Why are you being so rude? How do you know each other?”

“Hitoshi Shinso is my cousin,” Akira said. “from my fathers side of the family.”

“And Akira Shinso or oops Yamada,” Shinso said. “was born male.” Akira felt the feeling in the room shift.  Akira couldn't speak. She felt so many eyes on her and heard so many whispers in the room.  Her mouth felt dry and her body was shaking. She couldnt lift her eyes to face anyones gaze.

“Absurd,” Iida said. “Ive known Yamada since secondary school and they have always been a girl.”

“Well sorry to burst your bubble, but Akira is a dude,” Shinso said.

“No.” Akira said softly.

“What was that?” Shinso asked.

“I said No,” Akira said a bit more firmly. She took a deep breath. “I am a girl.” Her voice cracked a bit and her confidence wavered.

“Hasn't Akira been using the girls changing room?” Someone asked.

“Yea but she changes away from everyone,” a girl answered. Akira couldn't take the whispers that were begining to increase. Akira rammed her shoulder against Shinso’s as she ran past him and pushed through the crowd.

“Yamada!” A couple students from 1-A called out, Iida being one of them.

Akira was not at school the next couple days.
