MAEVE AND DELANEY both sighed as they got comfortable in their seats. They were currently waiting for the town's movie night to start, and while they did so, Marjorie had long-ago broken out into idle conversation with Fran from her seat beside Maeve.

"I'll tell you everything tomorrow." Maeve started as she sent a glance Delaney's way.

"Yeah, I think that would be best," Delaney nodded once in accord, and as she spoke, Rory, Dean, Lane, Sookie, Lorelai and Christopher had strode past them to sit in their seats in the row across from them. "I feel so bad for Rory, I can't believe Jess broke her arm."

The news of the sudden, devastatingly shocking event had very rapidly spread across town, thanks to Miss Patty, and in a matter of just a few hours, the people of Stars Hollow had slowly come to terms with the fact, Rory had come back to town wearing a cast, Dean hadn't left Rory's side, and neither Luke nor Jess had surfaced since the incident occurred.

"She didn't deserve that," Maeve agreed as she glanced at the group, her words filled with genuine sympathy. "I hope her arm heals quickly, that's awful."

"Yeah, me too." Delaney nodded.

Rory could be annoying—to the girls, it was most of the time—but despite her occasionally tiresome tendencies, a broken bone was certainly not earned, nor warranted.

"I wonder what movie Rory and Lorelai chose in the end." Delaney hummed after a moment, and as if on cue, the screen faded to black, consequently caught the town's attention, and flashed back on to reveal a black and white film, starring Kirk as the lead.

"Oh, this should be good." Maeve couldn't help but let out a wholly amused laugh in anticipation as the film began.

"I can't wait to meet your family." Kirk's monotoned voice sounded from the screen.

The woman beside Kirk in the film only mirrored his blank expression and stiff cadence as she stared at him. "I'm very close to my family."

"I know this. That's why I can't wait to meet your family." Kirk dully droned on the screen.

"Remember, daddy is quite protective." The woman mirrored the apathetic cadence.

"This script, alone, should win several awards." Maeve broke out into a fit of, to the best of her ability, quiet laughter, the pair only keeping their gazes locked on the screen to avoid the volume of their collective chuckles raising.
