He quickly rushed to aid the visitors, Nolan rushing to get towels and blankets while the girls left from their seat to make them hot choco's under the request of Delbert.

Magnus had draped the blanket around Jim's shoulders the moment Nolan handed him one, patting his shoulder did he ask. "Bro, are you good? What happened?"

"Pirates." Jim could only muster a reply, looking down out of guilt. And Magnus knew all too well that the boy had blamed himself nevertheless of what really happened. Magnus had noticed a rather peculiar item on Jim's hand, and he squinted his eyes in wonder. Surely he hadn't seen this one before.

"Don't take the blame, bro" Magnus started, his eyes out from the mysterious sphere on Jim's hand. "I know that look from your face."

"But I am the one to blame" Jim's head were still hung low as he spoke. "If I had just mind my own business and didn't helped that salamander-"

"Well, you're just being helpful." Magnus would mutter to himself as he listened to Jim, ranting.

"What could pos- wait, what?" Magnus double takes, looking at Jim with a face that told how flabbergasted he is. But then, he just sighed and ruffled Jim's hair, the latter only scowled at Magnus. "Did you burn the inn? No, the pirates did. So in conclusion, none of this was your fault-" Jim was about to talk back when Magnus quickly shushed him with holding his palms up. "Ah- and don't even disagree with me or it will give me another reason to use your solar surf... or something, again."

Jim grimaced at this, remembering how reckless the boy was when he had borrowed his solar surfer that one time and almost ripped the sails off. He knew better than to let him borrow it again. He just sighed, defeated. "Whatever."

Magnus only gave him a look of both disbelief and disappointment at his reply before he could speak, scolding Jim in a rather playful way. "I put extra effort to give you words of comfort and that's all you wanted to say?"

Though it was indeed a rare occurrence that Magnus would be the one to comfort instead of one to cause headaches, it was always a sight that Nolan wanted to last for it shows how much of a golden heart he is beyond his troublemaking facade; one in which that he hoped all of the people know, preferring that the world would see him at this perspective rather than the reputation and the way people viewed him base on what they've seen everyday.

Nolan could only smile at his friend, whome he had grown to call as his brother over the time of their stay in this reality. One he had grown to look after as he no longer can do it to his real siblings whome he left from the previous world. Whome he missed messing around, entering their rooms for no definite reasons to only turn the switch off and leave the door open; one that annoys them, much to his delight. He missed stealing their food from their plate, he missed being a complete menace towards them just as how he missed taling care of them secretly on his own ways; such as sneaking chocolates for them during 3 am and such. He missed being an older brother, and his immediate coping mechanism is to take the opportunity to act as one with his friends.
