The next day, Kyle picked Stan up after school and they rode along in comfortable silence, the radio softly playing music in the background.  Kyle  glanced over at Stan a few times, smiling shyly.

He was so glad that he was finally able to make things right between them, because it had really messed with their relationship, and he knew that things were bound to end up badly again. However Kyle was determined to do whatever it took to repair things and make things right again.

Stan decided to break the silence "So are you going to let me know where we're going or should I guess?" he asked, turning towards Kyle.

"Uh, I was thinking we could go bowling?"  Kyle replied hopefully.

"Yeah sure,  sounds fun," Stan agreed with a small shrug.

The two boys smiled at one another then went silent again.

When they arrived, the bowling alley was pretty packed.  They rented bowling shoes and some ball gloves. Then they wandered around looking for an empty lane near the center of the place. Kyle found one and they both put on their shoes.

Once both pairs were on, they stood awkwardly looking at each other.
"Uh you can go first " Kyle said

Stan took a deep breath and grabbed the ball with his right hand  and pulled it toward him and launched the ball forward. The ball rolled into a gutter  and stuck there, barely moving.

"Fuck", Stan muttered angrily "Shit"

Kyle laughed loudly and Stan glared at him.

"Oh come on, you did a good job"

"Yeah thanks"

"Should I help you? I think I'm pretty good " Kyle offered.
"Yeah, I haven't done this in a while"

Stan grabbed a ball and Kyle stood behind him . He held Stans wrists tightly, helping steady him, keeping him balanced.  Stan could feel himself blush slightly under Kyle's warm touch.

"Ready?"

"Yeah", Stan breathed heavily as Kyle lifted Stans arms. Stan let go of the ball, watching it roll across the floor. They watched it carefully  until it hit one of the pins and stopped.

"Nice!" Kyle remarked, grinning widely.  He squeezes Stans arms  gently, causing him to blush harder.  Stan looked at him and smiled.
"Alright let's keep going,"

Once they finished bowling , they left the bowling alley and walked around for awhile, talking and laughing.  Eventually, Stan asked Kyle if they should eat.

"Oh, I'm not hungry"

"You sure? "

"Yeah"

That was a lie . The idea of food suddenly nauseated him, yet, he was extremely hungry . If he wasn't careful, it'll make him throw up all over Stan. And he definitely didn't wanna tell Stan that he rarely ate.

"Uh okay. What do you wanna do now?" Stan asked.

"How about ice cream? " Kyle said.
Ice cream didn't make him feel as sick as solid foods.

"Sure, I guess"

They went to a ice cream parlor  that was nearby.

"What flavor are you gonna get? " Stan asked curiously as they sat down at a table in the middle of the shop.

"Hmmm..." Kyle pondered, thinking hard for a moment. "Hmm...Vanilla and chocolate I guess."

Kyle ordered his ice cream and then paid for Stans cone and vanilla  while Stan paid for both.

While they were eating their ice creams and Stan noticed that Kyle had some ice cream on his upper lip.

"Oh you got some ice cream on your face" he told him and then slowly wiped some away with his thumb.

Kyle blushed slightly, looking at Stan as he did.  Kyle felt butterflies fluttering around inside of him, causing them to rise in his stomach and settle around his throat, making it difficult for him to speak.  He cleared his throat nervously, avoiding eye contact and looked down at his lap, embarrassed.
"Thanks" Kyle mumbled. What is this feeling? He thought, feeling strangely flustered.

"Yeah, no problem," Stan answered with a smile, licking some of the ice cream from his thumb.

Why do I want to kiss him? Why am I suddenly acting all mushy around him? He wondered, feeling a weird sense of excitement.

Kyle dropped Stan  off outside of his house , but before Stan left he said "Hey, uh, Kyle. Thanks for today,  it was really fun"

"No problem , I enjoyed hanging out with you too" Kyle grinned at Stan , his face growing flushed, which Stan found adorable.

Stan smiled shyly at the shorter boy before turning around to leave. Kyle watched Stan  go, smiling a little bit to himself, before driving away.

Stan shut the door and leaned against it
"I love you , Kyle.. "
