OMNISCIENTSprawled on a moon-shaped bed was a guileless beauty with her hair flying in different directions. She was neatly tucked under the quilt with only her head out in the open. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead even though the air conditioner was on. She started shaking her head and squeezing her face as if pleading with someone to stop. Soon after, she gripped the bedsheet hard, her voice also started coming out in low hums.
A shirtless man hovering over her observed the girl's movement and stopped what he was doing. No matter how many times he tried to control himself and refrain from laying his hands on the girl, it seemed impossible. From the moment he first saw her, no matter how many times he tried to take her off his mind, it felt impossible for him to do so. He called on Rahim and told him to organize a party with the hottest girls but ended up leaving the place in the first ten minutes.
That was when Adeena called to inform him that the girl he strongly despised was admitted to the hospital due to extreme stress and frustration. She passed out right after they exited the school. Maheer became conflicted as to whether he should go or leave her with his sister who kept blaming him for stressing her. The good side of him won and he made it to the hospital.
However, he caused quite a ruckus when he saw her condition. He was no doctor but he knew that a hospital wasn't the place for her to be. He went against his family's wishes and forced the doctors to discharge her, saying she was his wife and no one had that much right over her. He brought her back to the house on the outskirts of the city and made the entire network for the town to be disconnected so that nobody could reach either him, her or anybody in the town through the phone. He also locked down the house completely and turned on the infrared beam security system for the house to prevent anyone from coming in.
Sumaira had been unconscious since the moment she passed out, during which he struggled to maintain every ounce of his self-control whenever he came in to check on her condition. There was something about the unconscious girl that made him feel drawn to her in an unexplainable way. He could neither pinpoint what it was nor run away from it, no matter how many times he tried to.
Presently, Maheer decided to succumb to his urges and started running his hands on the girl's body when he felt her moving. At first, he thought it was a moan until it became more disturbing to his ears, that was when he stopped and noticed the way she grabbed the sheets.
"Please..." She screamed and detached her hands from the bed sheet before gripping Maheer's torso hard. Because he was caught off-guard, he lost his stamina and fell beside her on the bed, his dark goggles removed in the process. That was when she fluttered her eyes open.
The first thing her grey orbs clashed with was a pair of heterochromatic eyes. An amber and a green coloured eyes stared at her grey ones. For a brief moment, it was as though time stopped. Sumaira could swear that she had never seen something that bewitched her like that. Something was electrifying about the eyes that made her want to look at them forever and what drew her in further was the fact that they were telling a story, a story unknown to anyone. The vulnerability in them said it all.
She was still lost in her trance, the nightmare that jolted her awake long forgotten. That was until she felt a sinewy arm grip her neck, restricting her airflow. The stalwart figure hovered over her, his heavyweight made her unable to act up.
"You... Have you seen it?" He pinned her further down, the girl was finding it hard to breathe and she was still too weak to move her muscles. The deathly glare he gave her sent chills down her spine. Sumaira became engulfed with a fear so immense that it made her shed tears.
