OMNISCIENT

"Whose blood was that?" Her light, almost ethereal voice made him stiffen at the sound. His senses seemed to have abandoned him as he inundated himself in the magnificence of a carefully crafted human being. He could swear on his life that her beauty became more prominent every moment he saw her. He tried to restrain himself and his feelings, but it was close to impossible.

Those grey orbs bore deep into his soul. Her face was set in a serious expression. The indifference etched in her eyes set him on fire. It was a gaze he never came across from any woman. A gaze that reminded him he was a normal human being like everyone else, a gaze he longed for but never got. And just like that, his entire soul became captivated and he became intrigued.

As for Sumaira, her insides were shaking due to the aura of the place, she knew she shouldn't have come but curiosity got the best of her. Only for her to be welcomed with the scent of blood and her husband washing away the stains from his body. Perhaps it was her overthinking it or her intuition being wrong, but she could swear on her life that she heard someone's distant scream. Her senses were on alert for her to confirm, but it never came again.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the person standing opposite her started walking towards her. With every move he made, his muscles flexed and his abs became even more prominent. She started moving backwards but soon felt the wall behind her. When he removed the dark goggles and his beautiful eyes met hers, she immersed herself in the whirlwind of emotions.

Her heart started beating faster than she could catch on and her head started aching due to the sight before her. He was simply too mesmerizing and like a magnet, she couldn't look away. Her confidence flew out of the window, as well as her words. He soon reached where she was standing and pinned her hands above her head on the wall then used his other hand to lift her chain, making her gaze straight into his eyes.

"Do you take me for a monster?" He questioned.

"No touching," She tried wiggling from his hold but it was futile.

"Answer me. Do you hate me that much, Sumaira?" His voice was hoarse and the desperation in it was distinguished. Perhaps, it was in the way her name gently rolled off his tongue or how broken he sounded but whatever it was, her heart instantly warmed up and the ice walls she built around her melted instantly.

He looked and felt so different from the Maheer she saw during the election. The one in front of her looked desolate and vulnerable, as though he just come out in his true form and not some celebrity everyone longed to see.

"I don't hate you, I just don't want to be your detriment. I'm not designed to suit your kind," She aloofly retorted. With every word she said, she could feel something within her shattering into a million pieces.

"You're being my detriment without even trying, Doodle. And you don't have to be designed to suit anyone. You own yourself, so be yourself," The last sentence made her eyes gaze sharply at him.

One blink, two blinks, three blinks.

Whether she was in her right frame of mind or not, she had no idea. Her subtle pink lips fiercely pressed against his red ones which were forcefully pried open by her. Due to her making the first move, Maheer was caught off guard and lost his stamina. The duo fell to the ground, devouring each other's lips as though they wanted to wolf each other down.

Her hands messily ran through his hair while he caressed her body, eliciting sparks of excitement she never knew existed. If someone told her she would be the one to make the first move and that too, impulsively, she would've made the person regret making such a feral assumption.
